Our fans are the worst. We complain when no changes are made then when a coach makes changes “they’re scared”
Im not complaining. Cant be mad at manny for trying to save his job
Still a trash coach tho

He's not coaching to save his job.
Excellent news. Now he’s even more accountable for the failures
He said they made a change internally and the players were notified last night. Said he wasnt going to go into details. Sounds to me like baker has been demoted. We will see if it makes a difference.More involved. He didn't say specifically that he would be calling plays. He did say that he was not happy with how the D was playing, not happy with leadership of the D, and would be more involved with that side of the ball moving forward.

If that all it was the players didn't need to be notified. He said they made internal changes.Diaz is just going to get more involved on that side of the ball. Doesn't mean he's calling plays. But Manny has to understand this fanbase and saw what happens with the two previous regimes when favortism (D'Onofrio with Golden; Searles, J. Richt and old offense with Richt) was a constant issue. At some point, Baker's going to have to go, if Manny starts making excuses like Golden did, then his reign here will be short as he's already feeling the heat from the fanbase. This is at least a start as I never heard Golden once criticize the defense during his tenure.
They will win more than 4.If we genuinely end up something like 4-8 (which is entirely realistic), I wouldn't be as sure.

he basically said the defense is a mess. players freelancing, lack of detail, players getting beat, etc.
So wtf was he doing before this then? I know it isn't recruiting. Deciding how the rings should look?
One of his biggest flaws as a football coach, despite his displayed willingness to adjust and adapt, is that he’s simply *too slow* to do so when necessary. He arguably could have corrected the problems his defense initially had a lot sooner than 2018, and it could have meant a significant performance difference.
Part of being a good coach is the ability to identify problems and correct them very quickly. He should have never hired Baker in the first place, but he waited too long to do this and the defense has suffered.
