Richt wasn’t hungry enough or ambitious enough (not even close) to survive in today’s college football
I do enjoy the wtf TV show PREACHER though...Attila the Hun wasn't a preacher - nor Alexander the Great, or others - The Black Prince, Genghis Khan, Scipio, Leonidas, or Vlad the Impaler.
Manny has that "Take no Prisoners," or "Fly the Black Banner" mentality.
Which makes him a good man, in my book.
Which I continue to say. Fact is Richt did not make us worse today then we were with Golden and plus he helped give us this feeling now and if we somehow win the ACC title this year I want him partying with the team foe setting this upRicht had an uneven record however 1m donation to IPF as well as stepping aside when in fact he could have negotiated a multi million $ settlement speaks volumes about the man.
Richt is extremely religious and leads his programs by the book. Miami is better off that he walked away when he did. He was sucking the life out of this program. The same thing he did at a Georgia.
You Cats have to always have something relating to the Canes to be ridiculing and *****ing about.
Mark Richt inherited a program that was in a death spiral and miraculously accomplished significant things that were not possible for almost 15 years. Additionally, he was the driving force in the construction of the Indoor Practice Facility that those in the know freely admit is a massive tool for the program to not only conduct more productive practices, but to sell recruits on becoming Canes. A tool that will prove invaluable over the coming decades.
You have continually attacked the man for his faith in God suggesting this proves he's weak and not a true Cane. Some of the most courageous and competitive Americans ever have been those with a deep and abiding faith in God, people you message board warriors call "Bible Thumpers". Desmond Doss comes to mind, although you HERD members must think he was a weakling or coward. Also, despite the Gator association I would like you to tell me and others that the "Bible Thumper" Tim Tebow is not a tough, take no prisoners athlete. The "Bible Thumper" Stephen Curry has the following scripture inscribed on his game sneakers; Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me." I guess you Cats believe Curry is weak and not a competitor, especially when adding in his laid back, Richt like demeanor.
Look, I realize it has been difficult over recent weeks for you HERD members to find things about Canes football to hate, but hang in there as Spring practices should allow you to invent things to attack and complain about.
And by the way, the bible thumping Mark Richt voluntarily walked away from millions upon millions of dollars, which was a magnanimous gesture that he knew would allow the Canes to use those funds to hire a new quality head coach and quality assistant coaches.
Finally, anyone that states or hints that Mark Richt is not a true Cane is so helplessly stupid they have earned my sympathy.
