Manny said WHAT?!?!

Alluded to the fact that the defense wore down physically and mentally basically because the offense is trash. I think Enos on thin ice right now and TVD will be given every opportunity.

We are stuck with Manny and Blake James for at least two more years. If Manny does not coach with a high sense of urgency and address every aspect of this team that dreadfully underperformed in 2019 then his tenure at Miami will be the shortest as a head coach in modern history. 2019 was not a rebuilding year, but 2019 will be his one pass as a head coach that is learning on the job. We knew that would happen, especially with Manny being part of a staff that embraced mediocrity in 2018. Miami is what their record reflects, an average team that could win or lose every time they step on the field.
We are on a two-game losing streak, with a bowl game to play. 6-7 is a serious reality. We were the first team in 40 years to lose to at least three opponents where we were favored by comfortable double digits, we lost more games to teams with losing records than we beat and we regressed in every aspect as the season went on. I am hopeful as a fan that we will eventually become better but neither hope nor Manny's first approach to head coaching is a real plan to bring change.

Urgency has never made an incompetent man competent.

Even if you believe in Manny or you believe he'll get at least another year regardless, because that is the way things are done, you can't dispute that this man is lost. He has no idea what he's doing, he has no plan to fix it and the only thing he's doing is lying.

He may back his way into becoming a success, but it's getting harder to see it. Now he's blaming LAST year team for this debacle.

That team was not prepared to play. They couldn’t even get past 3rd down and the defense was like Swiss cheese. It was obvious for the get.!

Pull the plug on this misguided experiment. Now. Not next year. Not after signing day. Now!!! We are notorious for falling victim to the escalation of commitment bias...

Escalation of commitment is a human behavior pattern in which an individual or group facing increasingly negative outcomes from a decision, action, or investment nevertheless continues the behavior instead of altering course.”

I’m one who believes Manny deserves another year but after reading what he said on the Joe Rose show it obvious that MANNY IS OUT HIS MIND or he’s totally okay with mediocrity!!!

“Our team played. Our team came to play,” Diaz said. “I cannot fault the effort and strain that our guys played with.”

What game was he coaching. With a team like Duke little effort wins by 10. Maximum effort wins by 25+. We couldn’t complete a 3rd down in the 2nd half. We had to change QB for goodness sake, and he couldn’t do ****. Duke converted over 50% on 3rd down. They did not come to play, and if they did... Manny didn’t prepare them correctly for DUKE!!!

We lost to Duke a year ago and in that game I can pull out clips of a lack of effort on special teams and on offense. I would be more concerned if I had to fix that. We have no chance without that. We have got that established.”

What?!?!
Lol we ****ed boys.

Indeed they did, but I figured maybe it’s a first time coach mistake by bringing in the wrong people, but it seems that he doesn’t really have a problem with the team outside of the QB. Figured he’d make the changes based off the 1st year, get new staff members, and make things better.

Serious question....what OC/DC worth a **** will want to come here knowing he is already on the proverbial hot seat.....I think if he sticks with those two guys that probably means nobody better is willing to come here. Plus, it will force him to admit such huge mistakes this soon into his tenure, which should translate into huge red flags for everybody to see.
