Last year CIS wanted some motion in da offense. This year it the spread offense.

The spread offense is nice. Canedog likes it. But ain't chit gonna change until you get rid of the disease that has infected the team. Miami didn't lose to the Louisiana Tech Mud Dogs cause they weren't running the spread. They lost because players didn't give a chit and had quit before they landed in bayou country.

The offense certainly did. The defense played well imo.

fixing it would mean admitting culture wasn’t fixed when he said it was.
fixing it would mean admitting your recruiting efforts with local schools need a lot of work, not throwing out a few examples to say ”see nothing to see here”.

the "culture is fixed" comment might rub some of you the wrong way, but for me, i interpret that as him choosing NOT to publicly blame the players(although poor culture also reflects on the leadership/him).

ultimately, my desire to not be a miserable cvnt all off-season is going to win out this year(pending the hires on offense), and i'll do my best to support my team going into 2020.

when Clemson decided they wanted to start competing with the big boys, they gave Dabo unlimited money to hire the best OC and DC he could find.

I think Blake wants this to work out badly because he is obviously under a lot of pressure. It sounds from some tweets he has put out they are going to give Manny the resources he needs to play with big boys. There is just no other way around it if you truly want to compete for NCs and the Alabama's, Clemsons, and LSUs you are going to have to increase your budget.

That said money has to be spent wisely because we know from well funded gov't entitlement programs that throwing $ at the problem is not enough.

My biggest worry is that he does hire a good OC and the offense improves leaps and bounds but then the defense takes a huge step back. That’s been Miami’s problem for so long. We just cannot have a good offense and defense at the same time.

IF he actually said that directly after the game, then he was referring to Enos and so him now saying that the culture is fixed after firing Enos makes sense.
