Manny on Joe Rose

I think there is talent in that QB room. It wasn't all bad all season. I do think as the season went on, the entire offensive personnel felt defeated in the system they were asked to perform in. It was a lose- lose for everyone, starting with the OL. As the losses piled up, the resentment grew and apathy seemed to take over at the end. I'm keeping an open mind to see what a new OC and a more flexible, appropriate offensive scheme can do with the talent we have now and the guys coming in.
Oh our QBs CAN make throws, no doubt. Their problem is they can't find the right guy to throw to. Arm talent is not the issue. Reading what the D is giving and being able to take it is an issue.

Yeah, the OL looked brutal at times, but even when they held up well, our QBs looked lost. We need a QB with football smarts, not just a good arm and the ability to run 20mph. Timing, decision making, and just a good football IQ. Is that too much to ask for in a UM QB?

my personally opinion is he was blinded by the porous QB play in 2018 and thought all Miami needed was a great QB, didn’t matter so much about offense scheme. He’s seen Dan Enos produce the Allen bro’s at Arkansas first hand who gave his defense trouble then obvious the media blew up the Hurts development at Bama.
I still personally believe he and Enos thought they had the inside track on Hurts and it was a done deal. Riley and OU came out of NOWHERE. No one saw that coming. Probably not even Hurts himself.

“Care about this job.” No ****! I would too if I would be making millions fleecing an Administration and BoTches so easily, with an AD who has no clue what a real FB coach is.

You think the 41st highest paid coach in P5 is fleecing the administration?? LMAO. Maybe you should spend some more time learning about the importance of finances in modern CFB.

This. Especially after seeing that RiChT offense, he had a chance to come here and really implement a spread attack that we as fans have never really seen down here with these kinds of athletes we have access too. It could have been a program changing direction/style with that offense. It was a monumental fail. Especially after the buzz terms like “cutting edge” not sure how you trot out that **** excuse of an offense. Had a chance to really excite the fans but shatt the bed miserably
Part of me still wonders if Enos was who he was talking about. If he swung and missed the settled for Enos. I feel like a bunch of coaches used us for extensions last year. That being said maybe he did just botch it and Enos was his choice all along.

Last year CIS wanted some motion in da offense. This year it the spread offense.

The spread offense is nice. Canedog likes it. But ain't chit gonna change until you get rid of the disease that has infected the team. Miami didn't lose to the Louisiana Tech Mud Dogs cause they weren't running the spread. They lost because players didn't give a chit and had quit before they landed in bayou country.
THIS

The fact that Manny said the culture has changed is a lie.

When qb1 admits to going through the motions, it's the same problem going back to malweak rosier admitting the same before the Pitt game.

Nothing has changed. But let's keep sucking Manny off. The culture has not changed and Manny is/was part of the problem.

Manny talks a lot

I'm assuming in the softball interview they didn't make him uncomfortable by asking about changes to the defense

Manny's first offseason as a head coach was a huge success. Great talking game, transfers, made us feel proud to be Miami Hurricanes again.

Manny's first football season as a head coach was a complete disaster. Disaster!

Manny second off-season as a head coach is going to be full of talking, transfers, and new hires. The difference is I don't believe anything he says. I will hold all judgment and reservations until we play actual football games.

Manny has no substance

We were all short sighted. Myself included.

Dummies. Every **** one of us, but in fairness why wouldn’t we be excited. JT4 is a big time receiver and Tate was a winner coming into what we thought was a better offensive situation for Miami.

I've said it from the get go that Manny SEEMS to know what needs to be done and the question has always been CAN he get it done. This season no doubt was an absolute failure on many levels for many reasons.

I'd like to see Manny be successful not because he's Manny Diaz but because I want to see us return to respectability sooner rather than later. If Manny fails, we're right back in the same boat starting all over AGAIN.

Agree with this completely.
