I just dont understand why he just didnt ******* do this in the first place?

We can all criticize Manny up and down for the uncountable mistakes and blunders he's made in his first season starting with his bluster all offseason. But you can't blame the guy for being hired and learning on the job. That falls on the BOT and AD. So, what he thought would work didn't work and he's quickly making changes. Whether it ultimately works nobody knows but he's doing what any leader would do.

Said Blake told him he can make any changes he wants on the staff.

Really? Ok then:

Fire Butch Barry: go steal Mogridge from USF.
Fire Stubblefield: go steal Darrel Wyatt from UCF
Fire Stroud: go steal Charlie Partridge from Pitt
Fire Patke: go get James Vollono from FIU for special teams only position
Fire Banda: go get Jon Heacock (DC/safeties) from Iowa State
Fire Rumph: go get Blue Adams at Oregon State or Travis Fisher from Nebraska as cb/co-secondary guy
Fire Baker: go get Mike Siravo at Baylor (lb/associate DC)

Of course he did. Blake needs this to work just as much as Manny does.

And Blake knows he has no ******* clue what it takes to win in college football. Why everyone else doesn’t know that or seem to care is a great mystery. It's good that Blake understands his limitations. Unfortunately, it means that no one in the building knows how to build or run a winning program. That wouldnt necessarily be an issue if we had Nick Saban as HC, but it tends to cause problems when all your hires are promotions from within or first-timers, so basically everyone is learning on the job.

my personally opinion is he was blinded by the porous QB play in 2018 and thought all Miami needed was a great QB, didn’t matter so much about offense scheme. He’s seen Dan Enos produce the Allen bro’s at Arkansas first hand who gave his defense trouble then obvious the media blew up the Hurts development at Bama.
