I'm a 49ers fan. He was hot garbage in year 1 and look at the performance his team just put on MNF. To be frank, he was hot garbage in year 2 as well but has the team shining in year 3. Manny has failed miserably this year thus far but we're a decent kicker from being undefeated or at worst...

We get idiotic threads like this every year. But these coaching hires never pan out and eventually get fired.

Miami football is dead and will never be back.

Nice way of looking at life. Rich history in the heart of the best high school football talent in the nation and we'll never be back.
 
I hate to say it but this season is just going to get worse. He rides with this staff next year? He fires everyone in the off season and starts over? Next year could be even worse than this year? I have no idea where this program is going but I don't have any confidence it's going to get better nor do I have any answers to my own questions. Sad state.

Now what? We have to accept that we're six years away at earliest from getting over the hump. Over the next 2 seasons talent will continue to decline, much as it did in 2011 and 2012 due to bad recruiting and terrible attrition. Manny will be gone after the 2021 season, at which point Miami could theoretically hire a forward thinking, excellent coach. But much like Matt Rhule at Baylor or Mack Brown at North Carolina, he'll be starting with crumbs. The new HC will need to really recruit for three years to get Miami back to a position where they potentially have more talent than their ACC opponents.

This is a coldly realistic view of what will happen. You basically can tune out Hurricanes football for the 2019, 2020, and 2021 seasons. And 2022 (first year of the new HC) will be rough.

Nothing, we just wait for another 2 years and get hyped up for the next Head Coach who will fail us

I agree totally with this. But I also think Diaz needs to hire a Co/OC to help with offensive game plan/playcalling

The AD needs to be fired to pave the way for a a good coach 1-2 years from now.
Diaz is a good Defense coach. But coaching a full team like Miami is too much. Should have let him earn his way at Temple imo
 
What now?

Fans act like children. Bully each other on a message board because they can’t talk **** to other fan bases. Then they cry when they look at our AD, staff and roster and realize we aren’t very good at all...

Rinse. Repeat.
