hmmm....Manny Diaz was 6-7 his first and ONLY year....Lets be real....yes, having a proven OC like Lashlee was probably why he's coming to Miami.

I don't see King coming to Miami if Enos would have stayed.

I hope he gets it done in 2020

Well... he fooled Tate.

Manny isn’t a good HC. It remains to be seen if he can turn himself into a good coach.

He's coming for Lashlee's offense—and he obviously likes the Miami brand and thinks this is a good stage for his final year of college football.

Diaz is the head coach, so he gets credit for hiring Lashlee and ultimately for King coming to South Florida—so what's the point?

Diaz still went 6-7 last year, stunk it up in bye weeks, made some garbage hires in Enos and Barry—but over the past three weeks has done some good things to try and move the program in a better direction.

One garbage season (for a program in a 15-year rut) doesn't define him—nor does Miami landing a top transfer in King.

We'll see what this thing looks like end of 2020. Thanks.
 
It's because of Lashlee not Manny. Manny doesn't run the offense. Manny is a good salesman, but let's not kid ourselves. He made a ton of mistakes in his 1st year as HC. His job is to set the mission for the team/program and to make sure that mission is carried out.

No way to spin it. A 6-7 season with the schedule we had was an epic failure. It's not just on the QBs. That's an easy scapegoat. The team looked uninterested and unprepared against weaker apponents coming off of bye weeks. That is 100% the responsibility of the HC is to make sure his team is well prepared, focused, and ready to compete.

The team regressed towards the end of the season.

The culture has to be fixed. You have to cut ties with guys that don't buy into the program. You can't let it linger even if you have to play freshman or walk-ons to kill the negativity. That's not how it was handled and now he's still dealing with the problem in year 2.

The reason he is coming to Miami is that the City of Miami is now one of the most dynamic cities in the world and Laslee's system. If King is as dynamic as he should be and helps turn this program around he will be one of the most publicized players in the country. With the schedule we have he will have a great chance to do this.

Did you question the top 3 defense he developed when he was coaching?

HC’s are CEO’s who manage coaches. They don’t coach.

But when he stepped back into coaching D this year there was a clear pick up in the D performances.

Nothing wrong w the guy’s coaching. He made a bad pick in Enos and had a pansy QB1 and few cancers like JT on the team that wrecked the season.

I'll play. He's coming here because he knows he's a day one starter. He saw how PATHETIC our QB play was, and knew he'd win the job. Also, he saw that we hired a top notch OC who can make him look really **** good.

I give credit to Diaz for hiring Lashlee. However, that doesn't forgive the mountain of ineptitude we all saw last year.

Perhaps OP has forgotten the allure of a really good cuban sandwich, croquetas, and ropa vieja.
 
At the end of the day Diaz has done what the other previous two regimes did not and that is make drastic changes

Should there be some more like upgrading the defensive staff? Yes but defense was the last thing we should worry about if we can manage to put up 40+ against the likes of FIU, Duke, GT, La Tech
