As much as I want him to succeed here, I am not sure he will unless he makes big changes on his staff ASAP.

Yet the only coach with a quality resume has arguably been THE worst of them all. Let that sink in.He hired a JV staff and now we see the results. Only coach with a quality resume was Enos. Lets go through it:
Stroud - a strength coach last year
banda - former bartender
Patke - was a GA last year
Blake Baker - La Tech DC. Ok at least he was a coordinator but no experience calling plays in P5.
Rumph - I think we all like Rumph as a CB coach.
Enos - qualified OC with experience.
Stubblefield - Air force wr coach (they run triple option). Never been in the same place for more than a year (red flag you think?)
Hickson - Akron RB coach. Akron may currently be the worst team in FBS
Barry - ASSISTANT OL coach for the Bucs. No relevant experience in college.
Field - I like Field. First year as a position coach
Seriously - I cannot argue with that bro!Yet the only coach with a quality resume has arguably been THE worst of them all. Let that sink in.
Unlike you, I don't downvote. But the time for adjustment was after our loss at Florida. That didn't happen and we lost to UNC. There was another opportunity after squeaking by CMU. The only adjustments I saw were on offense and we managed to score more 35 points when we didn't turn it over.He already did. 5 games in. He is taking a new role in the defense, which sounds like a demotion for the DC.
The guy has proven repeatedly throughout his career that he is not afraid to adjust.
The output has not been great this year (although looks better analytically since we've been in every game until the very end), but the inputs (i.e. the things he can control) have been great. This is encouraging.

Analytics and stats are fine, but they should be used to reach your goals, not be the goal. If there's anything about this year that's been "great", it had nothing to do with the coaching staff.
If you could go back in time and get rid of any of our past cavalcade of failed coaches 5 games in, would you? Do you honestly believe Manny will be able to turn this around? I'm as rational as they come, but I've seen this show before and there are no plot twists. This is a downward spiral.I didn't downvote. There is a button that says "dumb", and suggesting that a first time HC should be fired or resign after 5 games is dumb, so I pressed that button.

While I get your point & agree with what you're saying, some of this is inaccurate. He hired a JV staff and now we see the results. Only coach with a quality resume was Enos. Lets go through it:

Field - I like Field. First year as a position coach
We are getting what we have paid for guys.
Pure genius , why has no one thought of this ?As much as I want him to succeed here, I am not sure he will unless he makes big changes on his staff ASAP.

Would it be safe to say that a win over UVa is a must. I can see VTech looding another game soon. Beat UVa and Duke and we can still win the coastal?

Mathematically, we’re still in this thing.....
Way to bring any substance into the conversationPure genius , why has no one thought of this ?![]()
