Consistently fielding a top five team?! Lmao when was the last time we did that? I’ll answer, 15 years ago. What have we done since then, finish the vast majority of those seasons unranked with a lot of losses. Dude, we are who were are, the record doesn’t lie and the only reason that team two years ago even made to 10-0 wasn’t because we were good, it’s because of miracles and the opposing team letting us make them. You think we can field a consistent top 5 team, if you think we can do that then why haven’t we been able to field at least a consistent top 25 team? I’ll wait for the answer. Smh

Thanks Captain Obvious. The point is/was the scheme and for the most part the coaches are the same.

At times it looks like the d guys are playing in a new scheme. There shouldn't be this many missed assignments and blown coverages. One would think.

The d was supposed to be the strenght.

I like the fight in our team despite the 2 losses. Gotta credit Manny for that.

Easy answer. Our coaching has been horrifically inept. We have the talent-base in south florida to keep us in the top 5 but we need a coaching staff that "gets Miami" to get us there. Diaz is that guy. We're two games in... and I'm as encouraged about our future as I was in 1998. (Back when we were flying banners to fire Butch)

Pay attention to details and you'll see what I'm talking about. The macro says we're 0-2; the Micro shows we are on the right track. Essentially 2 plays from being 2 - 0 and ranked... Details like, offensive playcalling, effort, heart, resilience... things the macro don't reflect.

Ok you made a few good points there but where you lost your way is we need a coaching staff that gets Miami, which is code for we need Good coaching. And there in lies the problem, maybe Diaz is the coach but Banda, patke and baker sure as **** aren’t. So my question to you sir, will Diaz hold them accountable and fire them if they don’t get the job done or will it be a mark with John or Al with NoD situation all over again?

It’s likely that Diaz can become a good coach, but he is not one now. Good coaches win those first two games. Our talent at best, was even with UF and UNC but our coaching in both games were sub par. If he does not win the next 6 games he may not survive his first year.
 
We all knew at the beginning of the season that we are not Clemson or Alabama material.

Yes, the Brain trust is very effing scary. At least from what we see from Frenk? so far is a Hands-Off approach so long as the s*** does not turn into problems.

I am all for proper English, and dictation, with language.

But it gets tiresome to try and continue to edit the spoken to text message, and then edit it. Then your phone edits. Then your message of a new post. And again. And again.

My *** is getting old, I can't keep up with this new mumbo-jumbo technology s***.
