It is a bit early and Coach Diaz has yet to coach his first game but he seems to have the Chip Kelly swag. Chip Kelly is a guy that from the opening snap, he has his foot on your neck and is absolutely trying to destroy you. This lead to Chip Kelly having a high energy, fast pace and exciting brand of football. On offense, Chip was absolutely trying to put 80 points on the score board and not one F*cks was given..lol. On defense, it could be 3rd and 25 and the normal play would be a zone to keep everything in front but Chip would run an all out blitz just because he could Lol.
Diaz seems to be cut from the same cloth. We already witnessed it on the defensive side of the ball. Diaz wants a high energy and fast pace philosophy. Just like Chip, Diaz is trying to destroy you from the opening snap and wants to run the scoreboard up
If Diaz brings that high energy and fast pace game to Miami we will now have a brand of football that is enjoyable to watch. Then recruits will want to be apart of that culture.
Does a recruit really want to be the next Jeff Thomas who only catches about 30 passes a year? When we flung the ball all over the field, recruits couldn’t wait to be the next Santana Moss, Reggie Wayne, Andre Johnson, Portia, Gore or Mcgahee.
Running the ball into the back of your offensive linemen every play is not an exciting brand of football lol. Recruits know how electric Jeff Thomas is and if he can only get 30 catches, they are like what could they expect.
We went from a boring Big Ten style of play to the boring SEC style play. If Diaz brings that energy this fall it will forever change our recruiting. Kids will notice and want to be apart of it
