Manny Diaz New DC

We're gonna blitz like maniacs but idk about our DBs. Diaz gave up a lot of TDs thru the air at Texas. Yeah sure they were beats on the Dline but we need a very very good DBs coach now. Not to mention a few 5 stars to come thru

So not only was he a terrible DC, but manny Diaz is responsible de tearing the Orange bowl down

His is exactly the type of defense that best suits south florida athletes. Blitzes like crazy...almost too aggressive for some (not for me). we will injure some QBs in the coarstal with our attacking cover 2.

If Richt wanted him, then let's ride. Like posted already. We haven't even started practice under Richt and yall *****ing. It's a whole lot **** better than DORITO. AND we have one of the greatest Dline coaches in the land.

To be fair the only team in Texas that could tackle at that time was TCU

That's why you strike fast like a cobra and don't sit around with your thumb up your ***. There was a very large window of time between the date that Richt was hired and the date that Steele left LSU. Should have locked up Brown or Aranda during that window. Instead, we get Dale' II.
 
People, He was at Mississippi State the last few years and learned from that debacle. And Texas was on the decline when he got there. Trust Richt on this

Who the secondary coach will be will be key. If it were up to me, give me Derrick Ansley or Corey Raymond. Either of them and we will be fine defensively

When you zone blitz, guess what has to happen?

A) You have to play zone

B) If you want to bring 2 non-DL, you have to drop DL into coverage.

C) If you want to zone blitz with 4, you have to drop a DL into coverage.

Aka everything Miami fans HATED about D'Onofrio is the crux of the system.
 
in 2013, took Louisiana Tech from 113th to 19th in one season.

and we have morons complaining LOL. he is actually what the doctor ordered....he will exorcise all that sit back, read and react nonsense that our poor players had to absorb.

I have to defer to Richt's judgement here. He bascially gave EVERYONE who is a Canes loyalist what we've been asking for for at least 5 years.

I have to see his product on the field. His MSU defenses were pretty good... but not elite. And I have no doubt we'll be pretty good on Defense

But With this Staff in place and So Florida Athletes, can Diaz style make Miami Defense Elite again is the question... I'll reserve judgement after ACCCG

Like him or not, Mark just huge his future on a guy named Manny. Let's hope his simplifies his defense but keeps the aggression. Lot of noise about his "red zone" stats, but are they helped by the fact that teams score a lot from greater distance on him?

Do you know when he reached out to Aranda? Who says he waited? Maybe Aranda told him I'm going to wait until after the bowl game to decide and then LSU came out of no where and threw more money at him then we did. Plus Les Miles is almost out and maybe Aranda eyes a HC gig.
