Players play like they're coached. If the defense is soft that's an indictment on Diaz.
I get the feeling Diaz is using the press to motivate, which is fine if it works. Whatever it takes. Just get it done. He's got a monster DL and some very good experienced DBs. The talent at LB is also very good albeit inexperienced. He's got plenty of tools with which to work especially against a fcking feeble Coastal.
"...golden was all about the process..."
You know what is a striking difference? How much less Richt and staff use the word "process". It seemed to me Golden and staff couldnt form a sentence without using it.
It's become one of those over used "buzz words/phrases" that more often than not, who ever is using it has no idea what they are talking about.
Instead of "follow the process", Richt says, we need to score, or we need to get better in this area...etc...
Instead of "our players are going through a process and learning to buy-in"...Diaz says. when we hunt, we will hunt in packs...
The differences between the previous to current staffs is striking from top to bottom...
Go Canes.
Agreed. Diaz is actually talking about being better this year. And I appreciate that he admits that not everything is perfect. If he pretended that everything is perfect and there's nothing to improve on then he shouldn't be defensive coordinator.
I can't imagine Donofrio saying this. Because I honestly think Donofrio didn't expect the defense to play any less awful than it did under him.
