He's right that the players have to get tougher and play harder. But he better get it done too. It's not all on the players.
The very next paragraph he mentions it's the same for coaches.

I read it. He spent 10 minutes railing the players and 2 seconds saying, "yeah, and the coaches are held to a standard too."
Noticed that too. Diaz is fine (and right) in making those statements about the players as they have the actual resume of failure here attached to their names. He just better realize something the old regime refused to- you're every bit as accountable the moment you've coached one game here disirregardless of how many years kids on your roster have been here. So I have no problem with any harsh verbiage any coach uses now as long as they realize they have zero "learning curve" room themselves.
