Clemson lines up in man majority the game bring a lb of the edge to blow up the zone read while daring our wr’s to make a play. I posted this would be the game plan all week, if my dumbass knew this how did he not? They blitzed or ran straight man yet he never sprinted the qb out away from pressure , ran rub routes to beat man or any other man beaters. It was the same crap all game. Inside handoff or deep ball. If I didn’t know any better I’d swore enos was back.

All of this off a bye week.

It was bad.

our WR may not have world class speed but they can still learn how to run routes, cut on a dime, to get open.

He finally ran a trick double pass to use their aggression against them. But other than that it was nada. How about going max protect and running double moves ? It was as bad as I’ve seen, it was disappointing for a guy who’s a fan of Rhett.

Really starting to believe these SOFL receivers change of scenery and getting away from home may be the recipe. There's no other explanation haha

Their entire defense is predicated on getting pressure with their front 4, and it's an excellent front. They had one of their main guys out against BC, and I don't know if he'll be back for us. If they don't get to the QB, there will be guys open, and they're especially vulnerable to the deep throws.

Lashlee was awful. Making excuses for him is dumb. He stunk. Hopefully, he rebounds.

What happened is that Lashlee sucked. The players were garbage too, but he gave them absolutely zero chance running inside zone repeatedly into the teeth of a downhill super aggressive D, and his only pass play was 4 verts ala Rick. It was an abomination of a plan and even worse game time adjustments to that plan. He gets an F-.

if lashlee gets an f-, the starting wide receivers should get their scholarships taken away from them.

he owned up to his mistakes, unlike some other coaches in the past. manny diaz saying the receivers play okay tells me all i need to know.

i will move on from this now...

Sending them on repeated go routes puts them in position to fail. It’s not the wr’s fault Clemson knew their routes and the oc didn’t scheme a rub route or man beater, the most basic defense to beat.

Btw I’m the guy who’s been saying the wr’s are a problem even back to the off season. But he did nothing to help , including not using 12 personnel with Mallory.

Said it after the game, anyone making excuses for the game plan on either side is a fool. Offensively Lashlee was as bad as Enos and Richt were the previous two years. On defense, Baker and Manny's defense yet again was shredded when having to play against top quality athletes. Everyone knew we had to watch Etienne and Rodgers on short dump offs and they were wide the **** open all night. We never take away what the other team does best on defense. We simply just run upfield out of the play and then send blitzes from 50 yards out that have no chance at getting home.
