Manny and Dan deserve 3 years...

got it were a development team...

Manny sold everyone this offseason that no rebuild would be necessary and he could win now. This team has too much talent to not win 9 or 10 games

especially a year when everyone aside from UVA is down

No he didn't.

He gave coach speak about the expectation—but anyone with a clue could evaluate this thing for what it is.

What is he supposed to tell all the kids that are here or the ones coming in 2020 and 2021—"Sorry, folks. Park's closed. Moose out front should've told you" and all these kids should just pack it in and go through the motions.

7-6 last year. Fifth head coach in 14 season. 99-73 since the end of 2006. 1-of-15 in Coastal Division titles .... yet we have some in this fan base screaming, "12-0" and talk of beating Clemson in the ACC title game.

Took Dabo a decade to built what he built in Clemson. Miami has been a college football afterthought for almost 15 years.

If you took anything Manny said as some sort of guarantee that this team was ready to hit the ground running in 2019, you misheard the message.

Saban in 3.
Meyer in 2.
Stoops in 2.
Tresses in 2,
Carrol in 2.

They took over dumpster trash.

Show me the baby.

I've got my firesuit on ****'s go ahead and blast me...

This talk of firing Manny or Dan is STUPID as ****....

These guys have true pedigree and history of success.

They took over a sinking program from a coach who was getting middle-ranked recruiting classes followed by 4-5 stars jumping ship after 2018.

You guys expected that they would turn this thing around in 9 MONTHS?? (Manny hired in Dec 2018)

You expected a Top 10 team within 9 months of a coaching hire??

You're a FU*KING football IDIOT if you think that's possible unless the team was ALREADY LOADED like 2001..... and this AIN'T 2001 by about 1 million miles...

Flame away dummies....

2 years unless he ***** the bed this season but I’m staying optimistic for this season and delusional with a 12-2 record

we won 10(should have been 11) games just two years ago....
And that was with a bum at QB...

I never expected 12-0 or beating Clemson... but for our schedule outside of Florida it’s a joke... we have the talent to win 10 games every year over the coastal... especially this year with a rebuilding GT, VT, and UNC who was starting a true freshman and coach who was out of the game for 10 years-ish

so far he’s dropped the ball....against teams with a Pulse... and what’s more annoying is we have all this “swag” yet we struggle to move the ball against BCU and CMU

Gave the thumbs soley for the John Candy line.

Well done sir.

Why is Oklahoma one of the most penalized teams in the country? They seem to be doing okay out there.
Yes, but they have something else to hang their hat on. The Canes cotton bowl win was the most penalties in that bowl ever. So what? If you can't do anything else yet, at least don't play like retards.

"Yeah, but......."

The point being made was that good coaches don't have teams that are highly penalized. It took six seconds to refute that.

Yes he absolutely did

They aren't though? Where do you see OU is one of the most penalized? They are averaging 6 a game this year which makes them 60th, and that is right where they are in previous years. Either way, there isn't a single good coach in football on any level that doesn't care about committing penalties. And for a team like OU, if they did commit a lot of penalties, they still win, which would mask a problem, and would make them an outlier. Shouldn't base argument off the exception. Which they aren't even one from what I can tell.

I was shocked to see we were only 2nd to last and not dead last.

And for the record I don't usually care about getting some penalties because they will happen as a result of playing aggressively. Which of course I want us to do. I'm cool with like a late hit on the qb sometimes. Oops ;) But the penalties they are committing now is just a result of being undisciplined.

To quote the late great William Munny, "deserve's got nothin' to do with it". The reason new coaches are customarily granted a period of several years at a program before the athletic department starts demanding results is that they come in and usually they have to change everything. Well...Diaz was sold to us as a continuation coach - as a defensive genius who would continue the world class defense (which we never really had) and just hire an OC to do what Richt wouldn't/couldn't do on his own without completely gutting the program. Continuation coaches don't "need" 3 years to build a program, and they certainly don't "deserve" it. Fact is, no coach "deserves" the job. He has to earn it each and every game, each and every season. Teams are either getting better or worse, and if your team isn't getting better under a coach, it's time to look around and see if you can do better.

In the seven years prior to Saban’s arrival to Tuscaloosa in 2007, Bama had gone 46-40 since 2000 under three different head coaches. Then in Nick’s first season as head coach, they went 7-6, losing to teams like unranked Mississippi State as well as Louisiana-Monroe at home, and you can guarantee there were Bama fans pleading for the end of Saban already.

"Again, Enos is still putting the pieces together for the offense, but without a doubt he is the right man at offensive coordinator. He’s found Jarren Williams, who has looked as good or better than any starting Canes quarterback in 15 years. The youth just on offense is amazing in itself, with players like Williams being only a redshirt freshman, tight end Brevin Jordan and receiver Mark Pope only sophomores. Then on defense it’s the same thing, youth at nearly position with players that have already began to prove themselves as future stars."
