Talked about how happy he was with conditioning.
Wanted to keep it simple vs UAB
Talked about he was happy with receivers and sharpening technique of whole team
Talked about how this is Silvers’s year, did a nice job
Talked about Bradley Jennings and his experience and Zach’s experience- highlighted Sam Brooks coming in and playing well
He was happy with the pass rush he saw- sharpening technique in coverage to help pass rush
Said defensive staff is upset with no turnovers to bust game open even more-helping starting field position
Talked more about cornerback technique and locating footballs- didn’t mention Ivey getting torched- highlighted Blades coverage on the pick he dropped
Talked about Louisville- said they are in upper echelon of qb,rb, and wr

Need to stop run and limit explosive plays vs Louisville
Said special teams were outstanding vs UAB- Pope shook off fumble and coverage units were outstanding

Has anyone notice that Hedley is absolutely booming his punts? Kid was a great find.

Being able to flip the field will pay dividends. Last year our D was constantly defending short fields. If they were able to make a stop and force a punt, our inept offense would be pinned deep, go 3 & out and Hedley would be punting from inside our own 20. Vicious cycle. Field position isn't a **** stat but it'll **** you all the same.

Also him being an Aussie punter who rolls to the right, he always has the ability to just hold the ball and run the fake if they bail out on that side.

don’t be shocked if we fake a couple punts this year when we get desperate.
