Somewhat realistic 'ideal' scenario:

-Fire Baker and Rumph
-Stroud moves to an off-field role due to health concerns
-Hire a new DC and the other 2 position coaches as needed (depends if the DC is a LB coach, DBs, or DL). Banda could coach LBs, Safeties, DBs, or Strikers. Patke could take over LBs or stay at Strikers only in addition to STs.

Frierson has made the biggest step on our entire defense and Finley was good for us a year ago. I also like Keontra's progression. Not really anything wrong with our STs either.

I get what you're saying but it's hard to make a case for that. Basically every staff in the country has a guy like Patke that probably shouldn't be there but he is. Our problem is we have multiple. Get rid of 1 or 2 of them and its progress.

When people say the scheme works against inferior teams but it’s gimmicky and good offenses dissect it, I agree. The history is there. Even decent offenses are a problem.
