Here's a short clip from his presser:
“Malik (Rosier) is going to start for us,” Richt said. “He’s had really good practices. He’s been working in that spot the majority of bowl practices. We’re ready for him to do a good job.”
So is Perry suspended?
“He’s not suspended, he’s available to play as of right now,” Richt said. “But we feel that Malik is the guy that will give us the best shot.”
Has Perry been disciplined off a highly publicized social media incident?
“He’s been educated, I’ll say that,” Richt said. “For all of our young men (they have to) understand that anything you put out there is very, very public- I don’t think they understand how powerful those things are. I mean I’m not ready to shut it down, okay? I don’t know if that’s the right thing to do. But when we go on social media will that help the team or hurt the team? You’re part of the organization, have to do things that are positive for yourself, the program. There’s a responsibility to do things right when it comes to social media.”
Richt said he’s pleased with Rosier’s practices and how he’s handling himself. So could freshman QB Jarren Williams also get in?
“I’m not going to predict if he’ll get in the game or not,” Richt said. “There’s a possibility of that happening. We’re not sitting here saying there’s a certain series he’ll get in. He’ll be there and be available to play.”
- RIcht said any suspensions “will be released just prior to game time.”
Interesting this was thrown into the end ...... He has left himself open here
