Malik Rosier

Only a fan if he comes in with Kaaya still on the field, otherwise you're taking the best player off the field for a backup voluntarily and there is nothing more Golden than that.

I wouldnt mind seeing this on short yardage situations. Without a mobile qb and Oline being a question mark could help an issue we've had for years. I dont want to see a long drawn out confusing mass sub situation. However if we went hurry up and just ran Malik out there for a quick snap on 3rd and 1 or 2, im all for it.

Agreed that it is to give Rosier something to work on and get him more involved than holding a clipboard. It could be used like a more pass friendly wildcat formation, but with Rosier instead of Yearby. It was never discussed that Dallas or Duke taking direct snaps in the course of the game notably impacted the starting QB's rhythm.

Maybe its just the timing of when I read about it online but it seemed to me that the Rosier package only came about after Malik had a couple good weeks in baseball (I wanna say he hit 2 or 3 home runs early in the season). That said, I don't have a problem with it. Golden brought in David Thompson and a handful of JAGS only to see Thompson decide on baseball only before Golden could backfill the QB depth. I think we need to keep Rosier competing in football until we get Jack Allison on campus. Then Malik can focus exclusively on the sport where he can make a living after college (baseball).

Backups should come in for mop up duty or longer against a cupcake, but with Al there are no cupcake routs. I hate coaches who do "collegy" things, like bring in a RB to play QB and split the QB out etc.
 
The big trip spending time with the Dallas Cowboys and this is what they come up with? Rosier is a heck of a qb but doesn't the OC realize by running 20 specific plays for him, someone's gonna take notice of formations, and someone's gonna get killed...

YOU GOD DAMNED RIGHT MY FEELINGS ARE HURT! If watching these kids and this team struggle the way it has over the last 3 corching regimes doesn't hurt your feelings then you are on the wrong website you farquat.

The love of my life has been destroyed and the people in charge don't give a **** and to top it off half the fan base are either delusional chinstraps or smarmy "above the fray" types that refuse to take a real stand on anything lest they be wrong. Cowards.

I give no fvcks about Gorlden continually lipsticking the pig. Time after time for 5 straight off-seasons we've been fed this ****e about how dynamic and different the team is going to be. How the changes are going to be evident on the field and the innovations on both sides of the ball are going to change Miami back into something that resembles the U of old.

It gets so old after a while watching you lemmings swallow this ***** and then sure enough by week 8 of the season I'll be proven right, yet again.

The thing is I'm not the only one. Dan E. Dangerously is one of the best posters here and he's basically given up completely. If you think I'm the only one that isn't a part of your sunshine pumping party think again.

Also lol at the idea of running read option with kayaa, that kid is slower than blackstrap molasses in the middle of winter. The lines on the field catch him from behind.

Have a read option will be effective against teams that aggressively pursue a drop back qb.I expect it will be effective and used fairly often particularly with a young O Line.

Why would they be aggressively pursuing Rozier when he's in the game? They know he isn't a "drop back" QB.

I thin Rosier can be an effective red zone threat for us this year. We have struggled so much in the red zone I think it would be nice to see a little rread option from him to keep defense on their toes
