Malik Rosier had a great game today

In the passing game, he can only do two things with even a modicum of effectiveness: RPO throws and deep balls. There is no passing game in the middle of the field whatsoever with him. If the running game is struggling, it's gonna be 3 and out city, especially against Power 5 teams that know how to play defense. The announcers like to talk about how mobile he is but that only partially true. He is not all that quick and gets caught in the backfield routinely on runs designed for him. He is however, a fairly decent open field runner when he gets an open field to run in. He has good vision and strength when he is doing that.

13 for 23 is 57%. And he scored 5 TDs and didn’t turn the ball over.
What are you going to say when he goes 0 for the house against a goods team.I'd could careless what he does against inferior teams.what does rosier do against good teams when the heat and pressure is on.

He played well. People will always focus on the negatives because they are cheering against him but he did a lot of positive things today.

He's never going to complete 75% of his passes on a consistent basis but if he can convert 3rd downs/in the red zone and protect the ball, we will be fine.
He’s never going to complete 60% he's never going to complete 50%, and as a power 5 QB that is simply unacceptable, I’ll give him props today but let’s see how he does against UNC

That’s some nickicking if I ever heard it

Ugh no, that’s why we are inconsistent on offense. It’s all good because we played an inferior opponent.

Those plays you have to dive and don’t score turn into fg’s.

Just like LSU , we left points off the board because guys were diving making catches , bad ball placement or just missing open guys. But that was LSU and this was toledo.

That fade to cager is an easy pick against a defender with a pulse. Ask any qb coach and he’ll tell you that’s the worst ball placement possible.

All these small things will add up unless they get fixed.

Bad / inaccurate qb play , inconsistent ol play, bad tackling , Diaz being suspect and st’s being terrible. You can get by with that crap against Toledo’s of the world , the talent gap is just too big.

At this moment we don’t do anything well. In all three phases, it’s either inconsistent or bad.

And that’s just being real , you calling that “ nitpicking “ says a lot about where we’re as a program and a fan base.

Malik lucked out because Toledo defensive coordinator went all D'Onofrio and decided to play off and cushion in the back end instead of following tape on Rosier where it clearly shows he can't handle any type of man coverage.

don't be fooled

Referring to Rosier's performance today as "great" is more indicative of how far the bar has been lowered after years of substandard qb play then it is an accurate portrayal of his actual performance.

IDK what porster gave them to you in the first place, but they should be banned for giving them to you in the first place. I have never seen someone be as wrong as you, but still try and post like he knows something about football. Remember when you tried telling me that we would mop up LSU because Richt had a better opening day win percentage, but forgot to factor in the fact that Richt lost to the vast majority of the P5 teams with a pulse.
Maybe you should be a moderator or something then. Until then you sound like a cry baby cvnt begging for people to be band.

OK Dory, you have the memory of a goldfish. Rosier did this exact same thing last year. Amazing stats against a non P5 team, helpless against teams with even an average defense. It's almost unbelievable that you are making literally the exact same excuses for Rosier that you did last year. Nothing has changed.

I’m not going to do anything because I’m not emotionally invested in who the starting QB is like some high school cheerleader. The best player needs to be on the field and if he’s not, that’s on Richt.
