Since my truck has been broke down for the last two days, I had the opportunity to watch some old 'Canes games, while I was waiting.
A common thread is comparing new Miami QB's to old ones.
After watching a few games, I was surprised to see the similarities between Gino Torreta and Malik Rosier.
Both were streaky, unafraid to throw into double coverage, winners and good arms, particularly on the over-the-shoulder throws.
Not pretty. But they ARE winners. Gino does seem to get a bit more help from his WR's though.
Give you an idea:
Gino Torreta - 1991 Season
205/371
55.3%
3,095 yards
20 TDs
8 INT's
Malik Rosier - 2017 Season
143/252
56.7%
2071 Yards
17 TD's
4 INT's
Malik on track to have a similar season Gino did in '91.
