He's matured 10 years since the start of spring camp. Get behind our new QB1. Fact remains he's a better fit for Rick's offense than pro style guys like Brad and Allison!

My "very early prediction but I'll put it on the line now": We win the coastal and finish with a better record than any year we've had with Kaaya.

"We don't want him to be Brad, he can't be Brad." Berrios.

Hallelujah.

Very smart post by Kosi, honestly. Showing maturity and throwing all his support behind Rosier.

People are surprised to hear Malik called a leader, SMH. He may lagged behind in some mechanics and decision making in the pocket early on. But he has the leadership quality and the toughness that players around him respected before and will even respect more going forward.

Wouldn't shock me if deep down Kosi isn't somewhat relieved. A lot of pressure was being put on him, and he probably knew he wasn't ready.

We have a coach who understands and can help him because he himself was a qb!! I'm hoping the young man can get us in the playoff conversation, fsu will be beat up after Alabama.

Malik was just quoted that "prior to the duke game i never even watched film". He's certainly come a long way since then but let's slow down on the accolades.

How can that be? Does that make sense? If you're the QB coach or the HC, wouldn't you demand all the QBs' watch film with you in meetings? I have a feeling that he was either misquoted or the quote was taken out of context. No way he would have been kept on the roster if he never showed up to meetings where QB's watch films and study defenses.

I don't like this... Malik knows the offense better than Perry, but you swing for the fences and go with Perry

I wish it was a misquote. Here is the exact quote. Obviously a lot of this falls on the old staff, but it's still disheartening.

“Before Duke, I didn’t really watch film,” said Rosier, listed at 6-foot-1 and 216 pounds. “I just came out here and practiced, did what they told me.

Oh man Rayshawn's comment LOL!

But I think this is where being the Miami Hurricanes gives us some advantage. Takes a certain kind of swagger to want to play quarterback (or any position, really) at Miami. And this kid still came, despite knowing he wasn't the priority at QB. He's taken his knocks, won the competition outright, and now is ready to show what he can do.

I'm all in.

Not if hes not ready, we have the pieces to play at a high level this year. We loose a lot of experienced depth and talent next year on the D line. Thomas, Jackson, Harris, Norton, RJ, and one more senior DT (blanking on his name right now). To play at a high level you need to have the war daddies we are losing a lot after this year. Next year we will have talent there but they will be young. May not have been the sexiest pick but he gives us the chance at winning the most games.

Rosier was my pick to be the starter since the spring!! I'm happy for him, I just feel as thou MR deserved the spot, he showed improvement from the spring to now and he knows the offense the best.. A lot of ppl is sleeping on this kid, he brings something Miami's offense has been lacking for a while (and that's leg ability meaning he can run if needed and he can move around the pocket).. We watched Kaaya here for years be a good passer BUT he was limited and underachieved because he had ZERO leg ability.. MR gives this offense exactly what it was missing..

When it comes to passing and making the throws, I see MR being very capable.. When I look at the weapons he has to work with, really plays in his favor because he doesn't have to be the hero!! MR was my pick for the starting spot and all I pray for is him to have a great healthy season..
