Very impressive film
Has all the tools. Who's to say he won't grow an inch or so as well. Loved the way he scooped up thos low ones. Enormous hands. Carries himself with confidence. Great get!
 
Scout lists a “verified 40 time” of 4.42 seconds for Young. As a senior, he recorded 684 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns on 35 receptions, 274 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 52 carries, and threw a touchdown pass.
 
Did anybody notice how long his arms were? When he's lined up at CB on right sideline you can really tell. They seem really long for 5'9, which is great

Half his players at UGA (literally) were 4 or 5 star recruits.

Versatile player. I like him at Nickel or Safety. From his film he seems like Safety trapped in a Corner's body. Also, defensive backs who double as running backs on offense usually have the toughness and instincts for those positions.

exactly. How refreshing to see Richt doing major work with receivers right now and landing Young. Setting us up nicely the next two years if we can get some solid OL play
 
What's amazing is that the Tyler Byrd - Malek Young combo are the best CB prospects that we got since Artie Burns. And before that Brandon Harris.

Sweet baby Jesus, this is what competent coaching can do down here.
 
i feel like he is our macknezie alexander, and i think tyler byrd reminds me of morris claiborne from lsu now with the cowboys

Kid had 7 returns for TDs on special teams his junior year.... They didn't kick to him as a senior.

naw the kids in questioned have been called out all year.....

Malek is the lower ranked kid but he has produced for creek..and apparerently looked solid in the game.

He seems like a cerebral kid...thought about 5'9 1/2 like said he has long arms..good length...he has wheels....i'm not that high on hm as others..but as a nickel corner...he is textbook..and help with specials is always great... think his floor is Crawford who logged good mins for us before transferring out..

This db class looks to be hitting on something....
