Malcolm Lewis

Godlen raped our WR corps. They are all tall slow WRs. Where's the speed. When Coley declares, this group is ****ed.

Cager might amount to something. Berrios is a fake whigger. Brady is nothing special. Langham is prolly more of a RZ specialist if he can get on the field.

This group is garbage. They really needed to keep Calloway last year. These guys will not get any decent seperation.

And that just about sums it up. Calloway was a huge miss. Absolutely huge. Now that that fat loser is gone the next coach is going to have to get guys like Bruce and Mullins to stick. We need a serious infusion of speed.

Obviously none of you gentleman have ever had a SERIOUS ankle/leg injury. The injury curtailed his athletic ability in a big way. He was a mere shell of a player coming back. Too bad as I never forget Al Golden kneeling down while genuinely showing much compassion and concern for the young man. I wish the kid well.

I wouldn't say garbage I think Brady will be pretty good plenty of games he got good separation he had a case of the drops in a few of those games but still was able to separate more concerned if he's even going to be on the team next year there's something going on with back to back games suspension

Cager will be big-time next year under KB's guidance (I sure hope KB is retained) Brady will be pretty good expect a jump from him next season (if he's on the roster) , It takes a while to come the type of injury Lewis had hopefully he is fully healed, Coley hopefully comes back (fingers crossed) , Berrios can play he's not going to run away from anyone but he will be a legit option to work under-neath routes, the real question is the development of Langham

If we can get him contributing with a Bruce or Mullin we will be dangerous again.

nick,
who said the injury didn't curtail his athletic ability? no one here said he wasn't on track to be a good/great wr here if he didn't get injured.

None of these guys on the roster next year have shown they can get separation outside of maybe Coley.

I feel like I'm watching Perdue every time we throw a pass. Hopefully Lewis is thanked for his work and asked to move on.

Receiver rotation was cut down which we all asked for and have seen better play because of it

I did.

I coached against him when he was at Miramar. He couldn't get-off against my kids and a 10th grade Juwan Dowels was covering him like a blanket.

How did he end up so highly rated? He was a consensus 4 star being recruited by major programs.

No clue. How do better athletes/players end up with lower star rankings? A 3-star Juwan Dowels (who was a 10th grader at the time) didn't seem to have a hard time covering the 4-star senior Malcolm Lewis on that particular Friday night. (he even got an INT against him on a deep ball)

And many of those big time offers are likely bogus. He was between us and UCLA shortly before signing day. Why would a kid with offers from UF, FSU, Bama, etc...be considering UCLA over Miami?

Berrios was better as a freshman than as a sophomore. He and Kaaya had chemistry. The injury might have held him back.

That makes sense. Wasn't sure if those offers were legit.

I really didn't mean to infer that the WR corps will be garbage but let's say lacking in explosive speed which is very un Miami like. I agree with most of your post but unfortunately I think Malcolm Lewis is who he is going to be. The wild card here is Coley. If he comes back it will help tremendously.

LMAO @ "Berrios is a fake whigger."

I thought he had eye popping ability early as a freshman. Never remotely the same once he returned. Too heavy the following year and lost all threat of a burst.

It's true the early scenarios may have been favorable. I can't say I saw him beat a press or a specific skilled cornerback. I know darn well he was very advanced for a receiver of that age, far above Berrios. Excellent timing out of his break and a hands snagger. Lewis would have been a successful college receiver even if his pro potential may have been markedly less than it appeared early in 2012.

Isn't Dowels the next Revis though?

Says a lot about Golden when WR will be very questionable next year. How do you do that in South Florida? That's the one position where you can trip and land into at least a div-1 receiver. smh
