SYBAU, seriously.

Of course he would be a safety blanket for our high end QB, THAT'S THE REASON WHY THEY BROUGHT HIM IN. He was a highly productive receiver and the QB is comfortable with him, that's what you want.

We 1 drive away from a Natty and now we don’t want competition within the program! If you really HIM go prove it. Personally outside of Mali, QB1, Moten, Scott, McCoy and Samson everything up for grabs.

The argument for Barkate that is rejected here, is the exact same argument used on the board to justify Restrepo being on the Titans roster. Talent versus comfort.

New team, new offense......I think you want Barkate on the field, that is Mensah's security blanket. Especially early in the season. He will have Toney as well of course. If the other guys beat him out later in season so be it.

Not just the "plus 1". The WR room LOST Marion and Daniels, and who comes in then to replace one of them? The 2nd leading WR in the ACC in the 2024 season with 1087 receiving yards for the season, who is known as one of the best WR's in the COUNTRY for yards after the catch. Oh, and then the benefit of actually having worked a full season WITH the new QB. The entire country reacted with "wow the Canes just grabbed an elite WR that really puts their WR room over the top". But some of our CIS guys "let's see if he can even play". Sure glad Mario is making the decisions and not some of our fans.
