My issue is I have COMPLETE trust that Mario is the man for this job. Zero question in that. Knowing that means I also hold him to a standard (while most people on here think I defend him and give him a pass over everything cause of how long I've known him). If you've been paying attention to the things I've been critical about over the years, look how often he eventually addresses it. I see how close we are to being a factory again. I just don't want stupidity to be something another staff can pick at us with. If the standard is excellence than we should be pushing for it ourselves.

lol the backup QB’s haven’t developed because the room was *** for the last couple years if we being honest. Emory looked like a G5 from the day he got on campus, Judd isn’t good. The room will look a lot better “ developed” with Nickel and Coleman because they have actual talent

I dont care that Barkate went for over 1k at Duke last year. I worry that he will be the security blanket for Mensah. I think Vaughn, Moore and Jacobs are all better and more dynamic. Ideally, my WR starters are Mali, Vaughn, Moore as starters and Jacobs in 4 wide sets. I will never hope for an injury to any player, especially a Cane, but I think it would be better for the team if Barkate gets real comfy on the bench.

Our backup quarterbacks have attempted 171 passes in live action over the last three seasons. The number of those attempts NOT by Emory Williams, Reece Poffenbarger or Jacurri Brown? One. Giving reps to a bunch of G5 backups isn’t productive. We haven’t developed a quarterback because we haven’t recruited one.

Well I trust in the staff and I trust in our evals. The peoples opinions on here I don't put much stock into. The staff thought enough of emory that the plan was to hand the job off to him once tyler left. He did enough to beat clemson when they were still a talented team in a dumbed down offense as a freshman and give a good fspoo team ****. Till he **** near killed himself to convert a 4th down for us. These are the same people that said they didn't want the heisman winner, national champion (who beat us) & will be the eventual first pick in the draft in Mendoza because " HES JUST ANOTHER EMORY WILLIAMS" Judd and poffenberger and anyone else including emory (garcia was the only one we recruited to play here)were never supposed to play here. They were recruited as depth. Y'all just don't seem to comprehend how that works. I personally don't think most of y'all comprehend the job of a QB on a team thats properly built. Same people who say Dorsey was average yet he's one of the most winning QBs in college football history and definitely all of that and a two time heisman runner up. You all want a QB to be a game changer and make dynamic plays all over the field. Well newsflash, A COACH, ANY OF THEM don't want to need any part of that. They just want you to get the job done at all costs and in the least stress worthy way possible preferably. You're gonna have the same thing to say about Nickel and coleman at this rate cause we probably jump in the portal again.
 
Just play the best players. It's not that difficult.

If a guy we recruited transfers out so be it. Not sure why so many people are attached to recruits over transfers, this is the new CFB until further notice.
