Major Applewhite fired from Houston

right on cue .... a bunch of dummies on this board start whining "we want Applewhite" .

this is so pathetic to see this... we already have a POS coach that SOMEBODY FIRED .... SMH !

True but keep in mind he does own a home there already plus if he's going to get more money and not pay State tax on that money it would out weigh the cost of living some.... Plus all the "Freebies" he gets as a HC from boosters and such...

UH is willing to make a bigtime financial commitment/investment and is pretty serious about their football program. Their bigtime booster is the Rockets owner, he is very committed to UH sports and willing to shell the cash to help. DH would be a **** good hire for them IMO, there’s some familiarity there and DH has love for the city of Houston itself. JMO, I expect them to make DH a **** good offer. The rest is yet to be seen.

We all saw the comical paper trail lead-up to Dorito's hiring there too. I have SERIOUS concerns about Applewhite's general judgement in life not just football based off that hiring.

True and if they come in with some astronomical offer then who knows? But I still would find it really hard to envision a head coach in good standing at a "respectable" (football wise) Power 5/Big 12 school making that general downgrade though.

I live not too far as well, I gotta say in the last few years UH has decided to play big boy ball again, I like it, shyloads of talent right there. As you said they can throw chips w anybody, they made it known they would match anything Texas threw at Herman to keep him, I couldn't believe they did that, ballsie
