Clemson Clemsoned. Bears are up 10-zip over Wazu at home (though no one showed up because of the wild fires/air quality). TCU (#6) and Auburn (#10) are on upset alert. We will definitely be Top 10 on Sunday. Does it matter? Not so much. We're still a month away from rankings that matter. GO CANES!!!

I read a few times this week that a win over GA Tech would vault Miami into the top-10. I just don’t see it for this week.

Putting aside the committee for a second, and just staying with the AP, you’ll see that almost all of the teams ahead of Miami have winnable games this weekend (ASU, KSU, LSU and Cal could pull shockers like IA St but I doubt it) or byes. And for the next 3 weekends Only PSU & OSU will play a team within the top-10 (UGA plays Auburn Week 11). So I don’t see much movement by the Canes.

Now the media has been selling the “Canes Back?” ... hard, but it is possible that the only ranked team we play going forward, before ACCCG, is VT. That would mean that Miami had exactly one regular season ranked opponent. The team that CURRENTLY has one loss to UGA could have at least 2 losses (maybe 3) by the time Miami plays them at Hard Rock November 11. If the current top 4 teams win out through the regular season and TCU can somehow win all their games...Miami can’t make the top 5 until after ACCCG.

If Clemson drops a game to FSU or NC State, or both, then there is a high possibility that an ACCCG winner Miami gets no part of CFP if AL, PSU, WA and TCU win out.

In addition to being completely hypothetical, and softened due to a few Kentucky Boubon Barrel Ales (8.2% ABV) before getting ready, none of this matters unless Miami takes care of business each and every week. ACCCG Champions!! Go Canes!!

Below find the schedules of team currently ranked ahead of the Canes. Teams in italics are the possible losses, if they have any.

Well considering we're ranked 11th and Clemson just lost. I'd imagine they would fall at least out of the top 10. Probably right behind us. WSU is losing that would make us 9th. Auburn could to LSU as they haven't won in Death Valley since 99 so that would be 8th. We win, we will be in the top 10.

Clemson losing means that Auburn can no longer claim their "respectable" loss.

Auburn drops below us even if they win .. or they SHOULD at least.

Auburn has played Mercer, Georgia southern, a TERRIBLE Missouri team and gets top ten credit for getting beat by a team that loss to Syracuse. I ****** hate sec bias

And if they win tomorrow, then can't really be proud of beating lsu dumpster fire

Won't be long before Oklahoma beats TCU, bama beats Georgia, Clemson loses a dumb game, Washington beats Washington State, Ohio State drop another, etc.

All I care about is 7-0 headed into VT with the CFB playoff rankings coming out

There's no point of worrying about rankings this early. Just win on the field and it'll take care of itself.

Go undefeated, win the ACCCG, there's not a chance in **** Miami is left out of the playoffs. I'd say that if all Power 5 conference were undefeated too. Y'all worry about irrelevant things that are out of our control.

Clemson will remain in the top 10. The WSU loss to Cal will give UM the opportunity to move into the top ten. A TCU loss at K-State would also help. But, it all depends on UM winning against GT. Keep winning, and the ranking will take care of itself.

I would think a loss to an unranked 3-3 Syracuse team has to drop Clemson out of the top 10, but who knows anymore. All I know is if that if Miami takes care of business, it is likely #7 or #8 . Must win.

OP should have italicized Clumpson. Please do not star any more threads as you make me waste my time by telling you that you are an imbecile.

WTF happened last night? 2 top 10 teams go down to unranked teams? And, it looks like it wasn’t close.

Gladly, enthusiastically taking my “L” to see Miami join the top 10 again
