Oh no here we goI agree with this in principle, but if you look at the weapons we're adding to the ones we have-- particularly in that receiver room -- we might be one of the few programs that could trot out a old-style game manager and still be **** near unstoppable on offense
Nickel DAW GAWD?Trumpycane knows it was a small sample size but he looked competent
Made 2 pretty good throws moving and showed some zip
INT was just a good play by the Stanford guy, honestly like he dropped it but it what it is
Trumpycane knows it’s a low bar but he looked way better than Emory ever did
I would not want to see Cignetti up in Bloomington sign Warren. I really wouldn't.I bet by next year Nickel or Coleman could win a lot of games for us as a starter
But we are hunting championships. OSU hitched their hopes to Sayin and he folded against us because he’s not a playmaker. We’ve set the bar too high for Nickel to be the guy
Wow, letting the air out of the 27 season one game into 26. And here I thought the Mopes were in hiding. Next year and this season the competition for back up and 27 season starter will be good. We have a room with some pretty good talent and more on the way. The lesson from last year is to trust the coaches and let it play out. With the star/household name QBs we've had for 3 straight years going with Nickel next year would seem uninspiring
He's a significantly better passer & has far better arm talent.
Oh no here we go
I will. he just isnt good. I have zero clue why people are so fascinated with this guyI am not trying to be that guy, but, yeah, I don't see it either but hey, we'll see.
I got PTSD from those qb threads man lolLOL, I said we "could" be successful with a game manager.
For the record, though: I ain't advocating for us to do that ****.

Nah you can't throw a ball like that in college and not expect it to get intercepted. I mean a halfway decent CB sitting in the first 5 rows of the stands could have ran out on the field and made a play on that ball, it was in the air for way too long.Trumpycane knows it was a small sample size but he looked competent

And I was a LN guy but we a different program nowI bet by next year Nickel or Coleman could win a lot of games for us as a starterI feel like we operating at a different clip as a program. And a qb like him will never be a qb 1 here unless there is an injury. We looking for elite qualities now, it’s like bama during their era where they always had an elite qb or they got one.

I agree, Milton, Buford, N. Gwinnett, and most of Metro Atlanta FB isn't South A**crack, KY level HSFB. He's played in some high pressure games since he was 16. Guy's a winner and he will have learned from Beck and Mensah. That's a d*mn good internship and he ain't Da Gawd, that's for sure. Kosar, Vinny, Gino, Walsh, and Erickson were all backups who learned from their predecessors and came into their own. How did their mop-up duty go? Kosar and Walsh didn't have Howitzers for arms and Bernie had the weirdest delivery. I wonder what the CIS corches would have posted about their prospects as starters back then. My prediction is he'll play a lot this year, get comfortable, then show out when the opportunity presents itself. We'll be fine.High School ball is pretty good up here in GA. Fwiw, Nickel had a Mensah-like stat line in the state chmpshp game at the highest level of competition. Threw the ball down the field proficiently. No guarantee he'll do that at P4 consistently, but not a slouch. Gm 1 of 2nd year may be premature to judge. Need to see more.
Don’t get me wrong that’s only how I feel nowAnd I was a LN guy but we a different program now
