Luke Nickel last night

I agree. Have not been that impressed with a Miami back up QB in idk how long. The play that he drifted right immediately because Stanford brought the heat and threw with anticipation to a Wingo comeback was awesome to see. I wonder if the Mario comments about not getting a portal QB is because Luke has been promising

Too small of a sample size to draw much of a conclusion on his projected status for next year.

But he can throw, isn't panicky under pressure & has a nice arm.

I'm still unconvinced he'll be the starter next year. I would wager we hit the Portal again for best QB available.

Malik Washington, Austin Simmons, Brad Jackson & Drake Lindsay will all be viable options.

He won’t ever be our qb 1
100% but also much more comfortable with him as a backup compared to an Emory.

There’s no way with where this program is heading trajectory wise we are rolling the dice with a Luke nickel level prospect. If/when the portal qb experiment ends it’s going to be an unbelievable HS prospect we are handing the keys too that truly wows in his game appearances or is lighting it up behind the scenes like Jamies was behind EJ Manuel

I feel like we operating at a different clip as a program. And a qb like him will never be a qb 1 here unless there is an injury. We looking for elite qualities now, it’s like bama during their era where they always had an elite qb or they got one.
I bet by next year Nickel or Coleman could win a lot of games for us as a starter

But we are hunting championships. OSU hitched their hopes to Sayin and he folded against us because he’s not a playmaker. We’ve set the bar too high for Nickel to be the guy

Trumpycane knows it’s a low bar but he looked way better than Emory ever did

When Emory comes off the bench and beats Bama today y'all gonna quit talking about my North Florida homeboy

Seeing mop up duty late 3rd Quarter reminds me of back in the day. Seldom did I ever see QB1 play a full game. Of course big games they did but a lot games we had the slow start then poured it on 2nd/3rd and rested the starters for the 4th. That was fun. Now add in the spark of getting a quick start…me excite.
