Read the article and more importantly, Fickell's quotes. The author is just stirring the pot and grasping at straws to try to make something out of nothing. And look what site it's coming from. Click bait from a has-been and bankrupt magazine.

TVD is his QB now. Do you not expect him to come up with excuses for why he fell flat on his face down here? (i.e. 3 OC's in 3 years)

We'll see how happy he is with hooking his hopes on TVD. It could get ugly up there.
 
That article is doing a lot of work. If you read the quotes from Fickell he says that he faced a lot of adversity including working with three different OCs.

And look, I was no fan of TVD by the end, but unless Fickell said things that weren't quoted in the article, I think it is a stretch to read this as Fickell "not being a fan of Miami coaches" vs giving his likely starting QB excuses for erratic play.

He's not really wrong though. To an extent his failure was on us as a program over the years. He had allot of flaws in his game coming out & we didn't force him to correct those flaws before we gave him the keys. I'm not blaming Mario for that and I'm not blaming Mandy. It was more situational than anything else. The key with him has always been tempo. He wants you to air the ball out throughout the game & he wants to stay short or expose the boundary. Since his first year starting some of us said the kid has a solid foundation but pump your breaks on the hype. He had allot of **** to work on. With that being said the kid bought into his own hype. Got his nil deal and became content. Situations can't always be prevented. In my eyes this one could've been. Plenty of blame to go around though and most of it is on Tyler.
 
Lukey Dookey’s already looking for a scapegoat for their Bama game. Have fun with them.
 
I got hammered for posting the awful defenses TVD tore up when he took over the second half of 2021. Then he got hurt and then he **** the bed. No doubt it’s tough to have a new OC every year, but he never performed well against decent defenses, any year, outside of A&M who finished top 40ish.
