He did say that he liked Mario and thought he could bring the U back. But in the next sentence he said that the other inner city coaches and himself "ran the diamond mine" and Mario would have to get straight with them before he'd send the 5* our way. I mean does this guy seriously have any idea how bad that sounds?

He did backpeddle a bit when someone asked him about what he said. And said he told his kids to do their own research. He knew what he said sounded really bad.

He’s delusional. He doesn’t have the type of influence he’s trying to portray. He can’t prevent a kid from signing with a college because he doesn’t like the coach. And every coach can’t take all your kids or hire all of your buddies. He was champion for Lane. He was initially upset His chose wasn’t hired, why would Mario have to contact him?

He absolutely did. He went so far as to say that "The Cubans were trying to take over football in Dade". It was bad.

He does have a bad reputation. Some coaches are former players or related to former players of his during his FIU tenure but I think it’ll pass over because he’s at a higher profile school. He still has to work; which he will, because kids still want to go to league and they going to sign with the best program. If there was a university of Mars and they averaged 8 1st round draft picks annually, you can bet they’ll be south Florida kids repping hard for the “Red Planet.”

I agree all of it was bad but he didn’t call him a racist. He’s trying to get in good graces with Mario so he can visit Edison. I heard the statement about Cubans and I totally disagreed with him. However, he said local coaches were disappointed because Mario didn’t give the young black coaches opportunities to coach when he was at FIU (paraphrased). He wanted Mario to hire his buddies but he didn’t. I’m not really a fan of Luke but he didn’t call Mario a racist. I was listening too. Now he’s delusional and for some reason thinks he’s the spokesperson for south Florida. I also think he hides behind the guise of race to push his self serving agenda.

True the actual word "racist" wasn't used. I just felt it was heavily implied. I mean when he stated that "The Cubans were trying to take over football", that was just gross. I really hope he doesn't have the stroke to influence these kids the way he thinks he does.

When he said that I was like, “what!?” That didn’t make any sense. I didn’t think he was implying that Mario is racist though. He wants his kids to receive UM offers and he wants Mario to talk to him. However, Luke wants power and influence. He doesn’t want anyone to get attention unless he gets some. He wants Mario to hire his buddies because he thinks he would have enough influence over them to sign his kids. He was championing for Willie but now he is mad at him for releasing his home boys. Luke wants everything to be about him. That being said, the Twitter spaces was bad but you don’t have worry about his influence.
