This is very sad. I have to admit I wasn’t very much aware of this going on. I don’t pay a lot of attention to some of the details during the off-season, and apparently this was brought up at the end of a press conference that I probably didn’t listen to anyway.

kudos to Manny Diaz and all the people at the University for the shout out to this kid, hopefully it relieved some of his pain that he was enduring in his battle.

Special shoutout to @bradtejeda who did an excellent job in facilitating and creating awareness of young Luca’s fight, and probably was the one responsible for getting Manny and the university to acknowledge it and follow up. Great job Brad.

My heart goes out to his family and their suffering, little Luca’s fight is now over. He sounded like a courageous little man.

His dad tweeted a video around a week ago of a 6 yr old Leukemia survivor returning to school and all of his classmates lined up in the hallway cheering and welcoming him back. He said something to the extent of what he wouldn't do for that to happen for Luca. Was the first thing I thought of when I saw the post tonight. Horrible.
