Lucas?

They were basing it on launch, which is bullshiite.
We had a game some years back where we were called for targeting without ANY helmet contact, based allegedly on launch. Our D player flew right over the top of the player barely making contact.

Targeting is a subjective call implemented solely for the refs to impact games.
Believe that was against Virginia in 2018. Want to say it was Mike Jackson or Bandy.

The "rules expert" on the broadcast said he launched. But that requires forceful contact forward and up. If anything Lucas moved down. Because the receiver dropped as he approached, his right shoulder made first contact with the helmet. By the letter of the stupid rule that is targeting. It just happened. While intent is not required they should take that into consideration when looking at a suspension.

Ironic this became a conversation piece AFTER I posted this. Maybe (but doubtful) someone is reading my posts?

3 days out and we still haven't heard about Lucas. NCAA is a ******* joke if they dont reverse the suspension. If that hit is targeting, Miami should just duck down every time they are about to get hit and Indiana will run out of players in the first half.

Hopefully, we get an answer soon because I guarantee you the ACC had to appeal it. So hopefully we get an answer soon on it.. luckily OJ and Brown are healthy so they’ll be paying for us Monday.

really hoping Damari is ready to go. Could use him esp in 1H as they have 3 legit WRs. I would also think he can play the back shoulder fade as well as any of our guys given his size.

Prior to the Ole Miss game, I posted my feeling that having a Big Ten crew was inappropriate as we were guaranteed to play a Big Ten team in the final. I even said that I would look for targeting calls in the second half. Sure enough.

This should have been overturned by the NCAA. The simple fact that the national title game is involved should be a factor.

This needs more national attention. I need a televised explanation. I need them to show 50 more calls that were not targeting that were 10x worse than this. Call them out on there bull****

I know it feels too late but they asked Mario about this in his press conferences this morning and his answer made me feel like there’s still a chance they overturn this. Probably a cope but he mentioned ability to revisit and it wasn’t in the past tense

That POS "expert" ALWAYS agrees with the refs no matter what. He is a worthless scumbag.

No way this happens this close to game time.
