Lucas Injury?

DMoney keeps saying pay attention to who he doesn't talk about when it comes to injuries.

In OJ injury pod he mentioned every single corner in the room down to Jennings. Didn't mention Lucas one time.

Continuously said O'Conner and Brown will especially have to step up.

Maybe he forgot the starting corners name the entire pod and the rumors are completely false but idk

Right. Mario has spoke like this before in the past and sometimes it has been 2-3 weeks. Matter fact he said about Keionte last year it was "serious" and "gut wrenching" he ended up missing 3 games. Not saying OJ won't be out longer than that but I wouldn't be surprised if he was back sooner than later.
not sure keionte is the best example for this, since yeah he missed 3 games but we also had a nearly monthlong gap between the end of the regular season and the a&m game that he came back for. maybe he was healthy after 3-4 weeks, but it could've been as long as a 6-7 week injury.

That’s a fair point. I’m just saying that he has used this same rhetoric before and sometimes it’s a lot of games missed other times it’s not as much.

That's a fine saying and all..but sooner or later the next man is far inferior to the guy he's trying to replace.
This works both ways example if this was next year and he got hurt he might not ever get his Job back with wright . Sears .. one day how Mario recruits those dbs who continue to stay hurt will not see a field again

You can love it, hate it, or be indifferent about Mario's injury reporting, but if you are among those special people still expecting totally honest and forthright injury disclosures from Mario in Y5, then you are truly beyond help.

Again, was at the game. Guy next to me said they just took Lucas inside after looking at him on the sidelines.

However not being mentioned in the presser clouds it. Was he fine and they didn’t feel they needed to mention it since nobody caught it? Is he not fine and they’re waiting to be asked to say what/still figuring it out?

To me when seeing footage of the special teams Lucas clearly pulled up while running. Looked hamstring related. If he pulled it thats about 2-4 weeks. You can't prematurely rush a hammy or it becomes lingering all year or we risk worse. If thats the case we have a chance to maybe get him back for Clemson, if not then FSU post bye.

Some guy on Pete’s message board says Lucas suffered a fracture- didn’t say where. Out for 6 weeks. Hopefully bogus

canegang305mia was going on of X about Lucas being out six weeks—ended up pulling the post down when people went ham on him.

Tries to fancy himself an insider. Not sure if it's the same "source".

D$ and AR82 didn't name him at all. Seems like he's likely out at least for tomorrow. No biggie, seems at worse it's a hammy and he'll be back hopefully before Clemson.

You hear so much **** about injuries and recovery timelines from people trying to be “insiders.”

I don’t claim to be any of that so I just wait and see who plays and who doesn’t.

Sit him until Clemson for real
If this is a 3rd degree ac sprain I would doubt we see him again this year. He may actually need a pretty significant surgery. If it's 2nd degree then we should see him again this year. Just speaking from personal experience.

Lucas may be injured but we have gone from the initial post of some random poster on Pete's discord message board saying Lucas has a fracture to a sprain/pulled muscle.

I think it was on the punt fiasco where it looked like a fumble but bounced off the stanford guy first. I believe he was in covering the gunner and as he was running with his guy he just kinda pulled up. Didnt grab a hammy or anything but he for sure pulled up. Whether it was due to injury or him just knowing the play was already dead IDK but I think that was it.

Edit:

Yeah, see below, FF to 1:16:06, watch him at the top of the screen, he is running with his man and 100% pulls out of the play early.
