LT position

While that may be hyperbole on your part, what has been puzzling me is why grammar, or the lack thereof, is rampant here.
However, you don't have to attend "school" to attain a good level of football acumen.
Furthermore, and for the most part, I believe CIS has smart members with good football knowledge.
Do you think otherwise?

Zion is better than every tackle on our team, hence why he is practicing and has only practiced at LT. RT is the bigger issue as Herbert has clearly not being performing well enough to maintain the RT position after the scrimmage
And that’s the problem that he is our best option. Stealing a kid late in the process from App St is very concerning starting his first ever game at left tackle against an SEC opponent. It’s not being scared dumbasses it’s being realistic.

Half you morons had Rosier’s nuts in your mouth cause he was a “10 game winner” and another year under his belt and I was the one who said I’d he started against LSU we were screwed.

I didn’t say start Herbert, I just hope they have other options if the kid ***** his pants. The best olines in college is filled with upperclassmen. It’s why Florida ran on everyone last year.

I don't care if the guy didn't have a single offer. OT is one of the hardest positions to evaluate. A guy could not get any offers or a high rating cause he doesn't weigh nearly enough causing him to not have much strength. Now most when they try to put on weight, just won't be able to maintain their athleticism and will just be a bust, hence why they don't get the ratings and are considered projects.

If the coach at the University of Miami after over 6 months of watching him play and gaining weight decides he is still super athletic and the best tackle on the team then why worry about him? You think they don't have other options and are the kids father that will put him out there no matter what? The coaches have chosen him even when they could put Scaife or Donaldson who have that experience you so desperately want. I'm sure Leatherwood started at Alabama cause the rest of the team sucked and not because he was just better. And yes he had offers and the ratings, but Alabama's OL is stacked, if Saban was like you he would pick the experience over the freshman.

Sure Zion could be still be bad that is not the point. The point is you are worrying about the proven (coaches eyes throughout spring and camp) best tackle on the team. So before worrying about him worry about everyone else. Who gives a crap about age and experience doing nothing on the bench like the rest of our tackles have. How can you make a thread worrying about Zion, you should make a thread worrying about Herbert, Campbell, etc because they couldn't beat him out. Then you can worry about Zion.

Every Cane fan should get comfortable with Zion starting at LT. I havent read or heard about anybody else playing LT with the 1st string since spring ended.

Okay you didn’t say start Herbert but why should he get reps at left tackle. Besides him being an upperclassmen?

I’m sure Enos will provide support to his LT giving him a TE on his side to chip the edge rusher, or keep a RB or FB to pick up the block if needed. Lastly, we probably see more shotgun at least in the UF game than perhaps we all want but it obviously buys time to make plays happen...

It’s game 1 fellas against a good team...let’s enjoy!
