Brain chemistry issue especially regarding depression have been often linked to genetic predisposition but I acknowledge that it's an area I am not super well versed in. Maybe @pubmedu can chime in

As for mental health, yes, it's a problem. Whether it's a prevalence is increasing or diagnosis is increasing is debatable, imo. Lots of factors playing into it.

Not sure what you're saying/concluding with your post.
It's definitely increasing. I don't think that's really debatable.

But I wasn't saying/concluding anything... just asking your opinion.

My girl and I were talkin about this last week.

We were born in the 80's... and neither one of us personally knew anybody who committed suicide during high school. Can't think of a single one.

However, since I started working with kids I've personally known many.
Obviously we're not the end-all/be-all but I have noticed a big uptick in self deletion over the years.

I wouldn’t be surprised if most cases we find illegitimate parents the cause or lack of a true father in children lives.

Never been an illegitimate child only illegitimate parents.

80s baby too. I don’t know if it’s getting worse or not but assuredly there’s also more awareness and reporting now than before. Back then, news was limited to the local news channel. Now, we get it from 800 different sources all day long.

Similarly ... when you ****ed up back in the day it was limited universe, now it is the universe...

How and why are those issues getting worse decade by decade?
- Increased access to media that destabilizes the mind. Social media warps people's perception of reality and their expectations.
- Younger people have been raised hearing "mental health awareness" and all it's derivatives from childhood. The more they hear these things, they more they condition themselves to think there's something wrong with themselves. It becomes normal and even fashionable for younger people to diagnose themselves with mental issues.

Its a problem in the military too. Young troops can't handle any adversity. When I was young it was struggling with anger management, and now the kids need to talk to therapists bc they're sad all the time. It's not a surprise when they're watching pro-suicide propaganda on Netflix their whole childhood.

Just use alleged and your good to say anything and accuse anyone anything allegedly of course.

The Internet. It’s all a butterfly effect.
