Perhaps he ends up being decent, but there's not much more of a reason to be scared of him than of Myles Brennan, who was the likely starter there before

I thought excelled mentally in the games I’ve seen him come in and the last 2 spring games I’ve watched him play, but I think his arm is good enough to make the throws necessary

I do too, this makes them better but their offense has been a disaster for a decade straight. I say we still win by 2 tds
 
He is actually a good QB, way above what they have on their roster.
 
I have a feeling that ones in here screaming that they aren’t worried about LSU are the ones who deep down inside are the most worried.

How do you reconcile that with us winning by two tds? Lsu is far from devoid of talent on offense. Not arguing with you just would like to understand your rationale.

Pray for him. It's so sad that he isn't going to be able to make it through his first game.

I just checked out his tape. Reading this thread, one would think he sucks. I hate to break it to some of you, but he will start against us and he looks like he's a much better QB than Myles Brennan. Hopefully he struggles to grasp the playbook.

Based on what?

He has done absolutely nothing in college other than lose QB competitions at Ohio St and play a few garbage time snaps.

How is he definitely better than anything they have right now?

Again, what tape?

Myles Brennan has some great HS tape too. It's a little different when you're facing Bama than playing in a non-contact Spring game

I'm worried about LSU because of Aranda and their elite defense vs our QBs. This really changes nothing.

We actually did well against the most hyped QBs last year (Dungey, Wimbush). We struggled against guys who were supposed to be average (UVa, Clemson, Wisc)

The Ohio St Spring game. I watched that and I watched the LSU Spring game. This new QB looks much better than what LSU had. It is what it is. I'm not surprised, he's got a couple more years experience. We hype up Jarren Williams based on a Spring game, but then can't judge other teams' QBs based on their Spring games?
 
Any LSU transfer QB should scare us. The guys they recruit out of HS are straight up trash but Mettenberger and Etling were ok. They're so bad at developing QBs they need to snag transfers. Like a crappier Auburn
