LSU issues

LSU is becoming the AL GOLDEN of Decommits ..... 12 so far....wow! https://247sports.com/college/lsu/Season/2018-Football/Decommits

That kid Watkins has decommited from 3 different schools already. Lsu, FSU, and Texas. Lol

The funny thing is, if you change that to UM, you get 4 "decommits". One is Blades, who is back in the fold. Another is Artie's younger brother. Then you have Randy Russell, the PT-hungry traitor. And finally, you have some kid who I can't even remember.

Not bad. But UF is going to "flip everybody" from our class...

Having the money and trying to explain to a bankrupt state with so many people living in squalor that we're going to fire another HC a year after hiring him and we now owe a couple guys $20M not to coach for us should be something they seriously have no interest in doing.

That dopey drunk Coach Zero would have to do something that they think would give them cause to fire him to avoid paying that big buyout. They're probably sending cases of whiskey and hookers to his house.

Coach Zero will survive the season barring some episode more shameful than losing to Troy.

Pretty sure Russell is the only legit decommit. Pulling a dude's offer isn't a decommit.

lol at money issues. There are no money issues at LSU. YEah, they may lose a couple recruits this year and if Oregano gets fired, they might lose 1-2 but they'll do what all top programs do - fire him and make a hire splash and attach recruiting with excitement and promise of championships and that will keep most recruits in the fold. Plus, their bag game is still great.

Coach o has a 12 million buyout. How much money do you think these rednecks have?

You haven’t been paying attention if you don’t think they don’t have money. Their booster program is as good as it gets. The state might have issues but there is no shortage of money at LSU.

Its not happening. They still owe miles 9 million. Thats 21 million total owed. Urban meyer makes 4 million a year for refernce. They owe more money to fired coaches then meyer will make in 5 years.

$21 million is obviously a lot, but if LSU continues to crap the bed, I can't see LSU keeping coach O.

"Urban Meyer has received a contract extension through the 2020 season after a year in which he coached Ohio State to the national championship. His previous contract ran through the 2017 season and would have paid him $4.9 million for 2015. The new terms and extension give Meyer a six-year deal. He will make $5.8 million in total compensation for 2015. His contract will average at least $6.5 million a year over the next six years." He makes a little more than $4 million. He seems to get at least $6.5 mill.

even still...thats top 3 coach $. LSU wont be able to hire anyone worth 4 million but theyll still have to pay 4 million. Thats the market

Seen the price of oil and natural gas lately? It's moving up, but it's still too low for the neuvo riche to fork it over to an LSU 3rd head coach salary.

As goes the price Oil & Natural Gas, so goes the size of LSU's bags.

The state might have issues and LSU is having trouble paying for anything more than the parking meters, but there is no shortage of money at LSU for dropping bags for football recruits.

there ... fixed it for you.

all true.

to get fired this year, or even next, he's have to do something outrageous like:

getting caught naked with the athletic director's 17 year old daughter, while they were snorting coke off a male cheerleader's balls ..... again

And did our coaches truly care? Hall, Jobe, Frierson, Ivey, Blades with Campbell a (heavy) lean and the possibility of moving Dallas and maybe even Mullins to DB next year. Still talking to Surtain and who knows who else. Coaches have to be very confident right now in projected DB unit quality and depth for 2018.

There is the university money and then there is the bag money.
While the university money is in trouble I have a feeling the bag money is all good.

They don’t really have a good class committed right now. Some of their uncommitted prospects are impressive though

Just Curious, how much does MR make here?

I already got us winning versus LSU by 30 points next year. Coach O may be the worst coach in Power 5.

LSU's paying Les Myles' buyout and are not going to eat up another $12 million buyout while also paying another high dollar-figure head coach. On top of that, it seems like top quality coaches are avoiding the SEC West given that Saban basically runs that division. There's having money. There's also being smart with your money. They'll likely wait until next year to fire Orgeron.

They hired Oregano in the first place, so....

4 million

Let's not forget how much they're paying Dave Aranda and Matt Canada...a combined 3.3 million. They've dug themselves an impossible grave.

I don't think they were too tore up over Russell showing his cvnt.
