Lmfao this is an absolutely awful hire... can’t tell me he couldn’t cherry pick someone from that Andy Reid/Sean Payton tree Again... or he’ll find an OC that was top 5 or 10 in offense last year to replace Brady
So, Dan Enos on steroids? This is the type of approach they would have tried before Brady. Big name, big $, less innovation, less of a complement with the fossil that retains the OC title.
We have always had one. Every team doesLove the ****le “passing game coordinator”. I’d say we should get one but we’ve got 3 OCs on the offensive staff now.
Precisely what it is.So, in other words, another Cam Cameron?
Other then experience! I totally agree, being a die hard cowboys fan.Talk about a dropoff. Sheesh.
As a Cowboys fan, I can confirm that I wanted to reach through the TV screen and brutally beat Linehan on multiple occasions when he was with us.Linehan was fired from Dallas because their offense was garbage. They struggled to score more than 20 ppg despite having an excellent OL, RB, WRs, and a decent QB. He also was criticized for having an incredibly predictable offense. This is a huge downgrade from Brady.
I agree, but coaching hires don't mean much. I'd at least wait to see if there's a drop-off at LSU before we start gloating. I'd be happy with any of the top teams getting slapped with a scandal or sanctions, I just don't get obsessing over who they hire as coaches.I think during the offseason it is interesting conversation. It's a bit of schaudenfraude to see when other teams have bad things happen since it has happened to us for the last 20 years. I'd be delighted to read that the NCAA is going to hammer Bama football even though we don't play them until 2021.
So, in other words, another Cam Cameron?
Linehan was one of the worst OC's in the NFL, he's not an innovative play caller at all.
I said it in the thread once Brady got hired by Panthers that the LSU "dynasty" was officially over. Once he goes, it goes.
Linehan is King of the ultra conservative Pro style bro Offense lol, I understand they just had a historic season & went undefeated winning a natty & breaking records, therefore we're in no position to clown or laugh at LSU, but man if I was a Tigers fan I'd ****ed at this hire lol.
The combo of Old man Ensminger & Linehan without Burrow & those WR's is about to be revert back to the LSU ground & pound days of running the ball, then dinking & dunking all game long. The deep ball is dead for them now, **** Linehan didn't even utilize the deep ball when he was OC for the Lions & had Stafford & Megatron lol.
This isn't directed solely at OP but, why do we spend so much time talking about what teams we don't play and have vastly different situations than ours are doing? Yes, I can just skip the post if it bothers me so much. But I'd actually like to know. What's the fascination with who bama or LSU or Clempson hire? We aren't in the same league with them when it comes to hiring so their hires have nothing to do with us.
Considering the only difference between 2018 LSU and 2019 LSU was Joe Brady, I’d say coaching hires mean a whole lot. With Joe Burrow and Steve Emsminger in 2018, they were average to below average. They brought in Brady to run their passing game and they obliterated their record book and Burrow became the Heisman winner/#1 draft pick. Now, they’re replacing the innovative Brady with a coach who’s a career underachiever that runs a boring, traditional pro style offense that has gotten him fired everywhere he’s been.I agree, but coaching hires don't mean much. I'd at least wait to see if there's a drop-off at LSU before we start gloating. I'd be happy with any of the top teams getting slapped with a scandal or sanctions, I just don't get obsessing over who they hire as coaches.
They found a formula that worked and trying to reproduce it.You have to admire their 0-fückaroundness approach
