LSU game similarities to gator

They are going to walk into this game overconfident and get punched in the mouth. Diaz ain't playing.
Yup. They're overconfident that they're crushing us. This year the gaytor is where we were to begin last season and we're gonna bring them back down to earth.

Is their special teams as bad as our was last year? (I truly don't know because I don't know who they are bringing back/bringing in.)

We need all the help we can get when it comes to field position.

We’ve talked a lot this off season, specifically Manny Diaz. I love all the talk but we better handle them gators game 1.
Honestly wish our guys wouldn't say a word. Right up until Hedley, Nesta and the African DT are staring eye to eye at the coin toss saying, "I ain't scared of you *****!"

Its more similar to the 2013 game vs uf. Uf was coming off a 10+ win season and had some hype coming in. Miami was coming off a 7-5 season and nobody gave them a shot in the game.

Not comparing the rivalry just the circumstances. And they eerily in almost every way mirror last years first game.Of course that bodes well for us.
On another note the greatest gator Hater to his grave was Coach Walt Kchevsky. He said I will never call them The gators we refer to them only as the gator. A class way to put them down. Gayturds or whatever is low class. It's like them calling us Usuck or something stupid.

Who cares? No self respecting Canes fan gives a fack about degrading the gayturds in a classy way. Lulz, I've heard it all now.

CMR single handedly plunged our chances against LSU last year, even with JT making LSU DBs look silly at times. Malik wasn’t much help either. I think we come out on top though in a mainly defensive game this year.

NEWSFLASH!

Whatever did or didn’t happen with LSU last year has absolutely zero bearing on the Miami gayturd game this year. And if you really look at it, the circumstances aren’t that similar.

But even if they were, what possible difference could that mean to the game this year?

Thinking that in some sort of bizarro world way, that this year is a reverse carbon copy of last year, and therefore we win, just seems crazy to me.

I think some of these similarities are valid, particularly on UF's QB situation. Franks padded a lot of his stats last year against some really mediocre teams. For example, 10 out of 24 of his TD passes were against Charleston Southern, Colorado State, and Idaho. Another 6 of his TD's came against a mediocre FSU and Tennessee team. Overall, 16/24 (67% of his TD's) came against these horrible teams. Against teams with solid defenses, he was absolutely abysmal (except the Mississippi State game). UF had some solid wins against LSU and Miss St. but got curb stomped by UGA and a subpar Missouri team, along with a more lopsided than expected loss against UK.

Also, we've got to remember that UF was two lucky wins away from a 7-5 record last year. They pulled out a last minute win against South Carolina (SCAR was leading 31-21 going into the 4th), and outlasted Vandy in a much closer than expected game. While I do think UF is the better team right now, a lot can change over the spring. It is to our benefit that they won't have much film on our offense, which will give us a brief advantage at the start of our game. Also, they're replacing a lot of guys on their OL, which will force Mullen to significantly change up his gameplan. For us, our offense is going to be facing a really good and physical UF defense. We're going to need some big plays on offense to get things going. To win, we're going to need exemplary QB play and for the Turnover Chain to come out a few times. I see a game a lot like the one in 2013, except slightly more high scoring.

If you believe in a alterative universe the gods are speaking or a cosmic shift in the planets similarities count. Go Canes !

The two primary things that killed us last year were:

1) Our O-Line against that SEC front 7. And the fact that my high school O-line could have picked up blitzes better than they did that game. How many times do you need to see blitzes came untouched up the middle before you make a **** adjustment or smack the OGs in the head and tell them to at least look to protect inside? FIX: 2019 O-Line needs to be better or it can happen again.

2) Our punter giving them the short field with 25 yd punts to allow the route. This guy Tim Reynolds@ByTimReynolds put it best:

"Time for the Backup?
Feagles has been objectively terrible. Feagles averaging 25.3 yards per punt tonight. The "good punt" chain hasn't come out yet either."

FIX: That wild *** looking rugby player with the tats better come through.

Just don’t see a blowout either way. I think it’s going to be a tough matchup with two rivals what despise each other going at ithardcore for the duration of the game. It’s going to come down to big plays, and the team who provides them will secure the victory. I believe that team will be theCanes but don’t see it getting away from UFag either. Give me a 10pt W and let’s get out of Orlando healthy.

UF was S&P+ Top 10 last year. They were a legit really good team. They also return a ton of production, and return a lot of areas that seem to have a high correlation to success (returning production in secondary has the highest correlation to defensive Year to Year success, and they return their entire secondary).

One thing that is different is recruiting rankings. LSU had one of the highest blue chip ratings last year. That was a team that should have dominated us in terms of physical talent. So they were like a veteran George Foreman going into the year. Not the best boxer in the world, but capable of knocking out anybody with one punch.

UF isn’t at that level. They are almost the opposite. A better pure skill set, but not as much natural talent.
