Loved what I Saw, but I have Only One Gripe

Its againsy famu but didnt like what i saw from BK he didnt attack and i think the defense will struggle against good teams. Its understandable its a new staff so

He was efficient, and the game plan was more about the run. I know that people are looking for things to whine about(Especially with Kaaya), but let's calm it down. The 'Canes most likely aren't a playoff team this year, and they aren't pure garbage. This is a team that has an explosive offense, and a defense that is athletic, but lacks experience in key areas.

A walk-on, a cone or anyone who doesn't matter.

We don't have any walkon DTs. We don't have any walkon DEs. So now you're down to 3rd string OL. Not gonna happen.

Play any walk-on. The game is ***ing over and it is FAMU.

Walk-ons aren't meant to be cannon fodder in a game. No where in the country would you see what you're suggesting.

This is FAMU so continue to rotate your top guys in the 4th Q.

In fact, make sure Norton is in on the final play.

Do you know what walk-ons do in practice?

Yeah they play the position they are listed at. Walk-on OL aren't playing DL in 11 on 11 and neither are walk-on LBs. You reward a walk-on's hard work with playing time in blowouts. You don't play them out of position and get them mauled.

Gerald Willis tore it up on the scout team last year as a DL. Not 220lb OL Justin Goldberg.

Turns out this game was meant to let the players practice the basics in a game environment, not do flashy stuff so you can feel good.

Only healthy DT's that we had on the roster (not suspended) for the game were Jenkins, Norton, McIntosh, and Fines. Who else were we supposed to trot out there? Martin and Moten were injured, and Willis was suspended for that game.

Don't we have a walk-on kicker? Plug him in at DT.

He did what was asked. You think Richt put him out there to attack and take chances? If bama or FSU qb did this you'd lick entire shaft and give praises that they did what we're supposed to do.

Jesus we have some dumbasses here. Don't you think it's a good idea to protect the 3 freaking freshmens linebackers that were playing their first game??

He doesn't get it.

Unless he means putting in the drunk and coked-up walk-on QB in as a d-lineman.

I do get it. How about playing Fines instead? It is very common to play walk-ons during a blowout. Apparently these quality reps late in the 4th Quarter were worth the risk.

Cannon Fodder? This was FAMU, they're atrocious. Our backups would beat them to mush. These walk-ons and lower tiered players (on scout team) take on more risk scrimmaging our #1s in practice.

Yes put in the coked up QB, that is what I want.

I assume you're talking to me. This was FAMU. Not Alabama. Play the second team at least. Give the following guys more reps: Perry, Smith, McCray or some of the walk-ons. FAMU is trash, the worst team on our schedule.

How about playing Fines more? Actually walk-ons do a bunch of things in practice. I am not saying a walk-on QB plays DT, I am saying it would not shock me to see a walk-on WR play some DB or RB or a walk-on OL play some DL. We don't have a full squad of walk-ons like other schools. These guys rotate around.

Richt playing the long game, he's getting October teams to start thinking they have to stack the box to stop the run. They'll pay dearly if they forget about the first round draft pick under center.

Possibly the coaches thought some guys needed extra reps and that it was worth the risk. But hey, I'm sure they don't know what they're talking about.

I think Consigliere has to be trollin . No one can be this out of touch with how football works. LOL

And if we replace all the guys with walk-ons (for why stop at def. tackle? can we any better afford injuries at DE or LB or CB?) and FAMU scores a touchdown or two, then what? Then people would be complaining that we let up, that we're not developing the killer instinct that we've been missing for a while and that we need to win impressively for pollsters. Bottom line is that backups want to get as much playing time as possible. I'm sure Jenkins wanted to be out there, felt like he deserved to be playing rather than benched for some 3rd teamer or walk-on.

This might be the dumbest shiat I have ever heard anyone on any site ever post. I might even frame it to remind myself how FN stupid people can really be. Big FN High five on this one.

It's sad to get excited over that kind of game, but after watching them play down to so many teams, it's a nice change. Very few penalties. No injuries. They played a very vanilla offense, but executed well. DL looked completely different. ST's looked much better.
