Prime example why a dual threat qb won't solve all of Miami's issues
Game look reminiscint to that Houston game...
Lamar Jackson has been sacked like 5 times and been under pressure all game...

Y'all have the nerve to talk about kaayas pocket presence... Lamar Jackson's is worse and he's a dual threat qb and most dynamic player in football

I'm convinced about Petrino's greatness now. Very solid ending to the season. Destroyed by Houston, a home loss to a very bad Kentucky team, and now he can't even gain positive yardage against LSU. But this is only the end of his third year after taking over a 12-1 program. He just needs more time.

Jackson is so confident of his mobility (and rightfully so) he has yet to develop the discipline to stay inside. A quality defense just needs to keep him in the pocket and he's toast.

He's not toast staying in the pocket as he can actually sling it pretty well. Problem is his ol is certifiably terrible and have been all year. Add to it alot of pressure is direct off the guards which will give everyone problems. Louisville needs to fix that ol asap or they will squander a Heisman winner.

LMAO. Louisville's issue on offense today is Jackson's pocket presence?!?!

That's exactly why they're ranked #117 in sacks allowed.

Agreed with all of this. Pressure off the edge allows you to step up in the pocket and over pursuing allows Jackson to do what he does best in getting to the open field. When the interior of your o-line is always giving up pressure, you're doomed regardless of who you are as a QB. But this game has been all about LSU's DTs vs. UL's interior O-line; and it's like watching Tyson fight a midget. Lamar can't do anything because he has zero to work with.

Amazing how a **** OL makes life difficult for any QB, mobile or otherwise. Searles needs to get a lot of improvement out of his group.

Go Canes!

Down vote all you want, but he's right. Nothing wrong with dual-threat and/or spread, but they aren't some magic bullet. Any offensive style can be countered. It's about athletes and coaching first and type of offense a distant third.

Lamar wasn't deserving of the Heisman. I thought Watson deserved it. He may not have put up the numbers, but he carried his team back to the playoff. We see how Lamar's team performed at the end.
