Guy is on same level as Dalvin Cook program changer at RB. Would be the best Miami RB in a decade.

Yeah lets just pretend Duke Johnson didnt just break Miami records... Or an NFL starter like Miller didnt do anything at MIA. Kid is currently a soph in hs lets pump the brakes my man.

Im hoping he meant this would be the most highly recruited RB we have had in a decade. If buddy is the #2 RB in his class, that would def hold true.

Duke Johnson was the #3 APB (Higher rating than Todd Gurley, Mike Davis, Kenyan Drake, and Mario Pender notably). He was also Mr. Florida his senior year, and the #19 overall player. He was wanted by every school in the country but not recruited as heavily because he denied every single recruiting pitch and told them no matter what he would be a Cane. If it wasn't for that, he would have been recruited twice as hard as Sony Michel, and we know how hard that battle was.

Edit: Lingard is rated a 95/100, Duke was a 97/100. Obviously things can change by the time he is a senior, but to call Lingard the best Miami RB in a decade (should he sign) would be retarded, considering that we just had Duke break nearly every RB record with 2 1/2 years of playing, as someone above already mentioned. There is just no part of that statement that is true...Duke was a beast, and everyone knew he would be a beast coming in. If Lingard DOES come to the U, and carries the ball less than 10 times, still putting up 100+ yards and 2 TD's against a conference opponent in his very first college game (on the road at that) then let me know. The amount of disrespect from saying a sophomore HS RB will be better than the majority record holder RB of the U is something I'd expect a FSU fan to say. Also if you're wondering, yes, my Jimmies are definitely in a rustle after reading some trash like that.

You dont have to give me the Duke Johnson lecture friend. I know all about Duke. Reality is this, Duke was VERY highly regarded but didnt get his 5th star until after his Sr year. Going into his Jr year of HS he was not the #2 rated player at his position in the country as this kid is.

Im not a star ***** but ****..lets look at this facts. I personally am not referring to what he did at UM. **** we might not even get this kid. I am strictly talking about national hype going into his Jr year. And from the looks of it, this kid has got it. Lets hope in 2 years we can found out if it was warranted like Duke def proved his Sr year of HS.

First, my whole post was angrily dedicated to the poster who said Lingard would be the best Miami RB in a decade, not to you.
Second, Duke was a 5 star after his sophomore year and dropped in ratings after his JR year stats was not as good.
Comparison?
Duke Sophomore year: 152 Attempts, 1540 yards, 24 Rushing TD's. 10.1 YPC
Lingard's Sophomore year: 112 Attempts, 703 yards, 8 TD's. 6.3 YPC

Duke is good but cmon dude wasnt elite he was elite in hs. Cook is elite and this kid has cook potential he would be the best we signed in a long time *** rankings. Everyone in there momma knew cook was better than yearby for example but retards said JY had better stats and was higher rated. Duke was good a great rb but even if his cfb numbers say hes the best um rb he wasnt the best.

Are you frigon kidding me? Duke!!!! He might have more upside later on because of size but Duke might be the best Miami ever had. He also had a crap team and coach and he still broke a bunch of records.

Duke Johnson breaks Miami Hurricanes' All-Time Rushing Yardage Record - State of The U

Drugs have burned out your brain cells. I saw Duke in a couple playoff games, one in the Muck, he was the best I have ever seen in HS. In the playoffs he averaged about 300 yards a game and he sure and **** didn't play a full game in some of them. Not elite, WTF?

This^^^! Duke was an absolute beast in HS. The only RB that I would say was better (High School) in So. Fla., would be Frank Gore.

Not gonna think about this one until this time next year...Just hope the OLine gets its act together so we have some quality backs giving us serious consideration...

He's sophomore, looks pretty decent, but has a long ways to go before I put him in the elite category. Michel at his age was the far better prospect, but injuries slowed that down some. Duke looks far better as a sophomore, but two years later....who knows.

I am only confident in saying he looks like a quality prospect now with good size to carry the load in college. Rankings at this point for sophomores is just for fun as players will continue to pop out of the woodwork through his senior year.

Lorenzo Lingard now has the Canes as his #1 school.

Geo..thoughts on Lingard as a prospect?

In terms of what is out there nationally and in the state for 2018. I think he is elite and the best in the state for his class as of this moment. Unfair for people to compare him to Duke or Michel right now. Wait until all 3 careers are over from college. He's going to be a junior this year. Very athletically gifted, and his speed electric is low 4.5, easily can get in the 4.4 with college S&C program.

This kid is elite and I hope we get him, but I just hope the staff is on Townsend and Davis from CC as well, they are actually faster and bigger in weight than Lingard, my fear is the staff will will not evaluate these two properly and top programs will benefit and capitalize off the miss. Lingard is an absolute ball player its just Townsend and Davis have shown me a lot to like and not a lot to dislike or question.
