Lorenzo Carter

2014 OL/DL Jordan Ingraham from BTW ( #53) looked impressive tonight owning Lorenzo Carter. Ingraham also did well at a few camps this summer, but is still under radar player who plays with great leverage developed as a state finalist wrestler. He does bare watching throughout the season as a possible very late offer at OG, but more then likely he may need to go JUCO add some weight then revisit this conversation in two years.

Thanks for posting.

my eyes saw something different. He manhandles a consensus 5 star but HE needs to go JUCO? Not so much. Maybe not um but clearly division one

As in good College S&C muscle weight not just overall weight. Look the kid had a great game, but UM coaches have seen this kid go up against Dade Counties best in Chad Thomas and Matthew Thomas in practice yet they they passed for some unknown reason. As did FSU, and the othe majors in florida, keep in mind BTW does a football camp tour with their players where they hit UM, UCF, FSU, etc and posted in the other thread that Ingraham got dominated at the FSUcamp.

Also in watching the game Ingraham is the same height as Treon Harris when they were standing next to each other talking. So that would put Ingraham in the 5'10 to 6'0 range which would explain why he didn't get offered when they saw him inperson. Go watch the game it is around the 2 minute mark at the end of the 3rd quarter.

I wish the young man all the success in the world and hopefully he will get the opportunity for an education somewhere on scholarship. I love seeing kids make it.

Go Canes

Still want Carter he still learning has plenty upside.... Chad Thomas.... Demetrius Jackson... My man

Does anyone know anything about Ingraham's grades? Kid can play ball somewhere; he abused Carter around all game to where they had to move him to the other side! Loved that.

I was at the game and Carter was definitely a non-factor. I'd still be ecstatic if that kid committed to Miami

I wouldn't mind keeping an eye on him during this season, and possibly offering him as a G prospect. He has 2 things that are important--one you teach, the other you can't: leverage, and size. He understands leverage, likely from his wrestling background. His size at 6'2/315 is impressive, and would make a great canvas to work with as a prospect for the next level.

Loved his mean streak, too. He got an unnecessary roughness penalty for finishing a block on Carter and pancaking his *** onto the pile after a BTW run. Mean, undersized OG's who know how to get the job done and punish players are always a good thing to have.

Those are the things I liked...however, I'd like to see how well he moves, if he's an overall athlete, or if he's limited. He could be a finished product already, and not be fast/agile enough to produce like he did Saturday night on a regular basis. Keep in mind too that for all of Carter's talents--he's only listed at 235 pounds. Once a kid that light gets engaged with 6'2/315 with a leverage/strength advantage, it's hard to get disengaged and make plays. What happens to Ingraham when he goes up against kids his size/strength at DT? If he's going to be a OG prospect, that's an extrapolation that needs to be made.

The other question that I'm probably most interested in, is can the kid play DT? If so, I'd like to see him get some reps there this season and show what he can do against Dade competition, so the coaches can evaluate him properly.

Ok, maybe still want Carter, but would you give up Chad to get him?

Why would we have to give up Thomas to get Carter? To answer your question though FVCK NO!!!!!!

We still have room for like 7-9 guys, yet if i was to give up somebody for him it'll be Rosier...... In a heartbeat!!!!!
