Looks like we will get our 2020 schedule...

So no more corstal...

No divisions is a great idea, but with Notre Lame being able to play for the ACC title that's essentially going to be the crowbar to every team not named Clemson from playing for the ACCCG.

The ACC whores themselves out for Touchdown Jesus because they want/need the money they bring to the conference, even though they don't share their NBC revenue with the rest of the conference they're still a cash cow as a program & their market share is significant.

All we can do is control what we can control, the Tobacco Road Mafia will ***** us every chance they get, all we can do is win as many games as possible & try to be undeniable.

But I'm serious when I say this, we need to get the fck out of this conference the first chance we get.

This is a total joke. Allowing Notre Dame to have a chance to play for the conference title is like a dude that allows a chick to hang out with him on Tuesday's- as long as he pays for everything and doesn't try to touch her.
You're right , it is a joke... But......Money happens and the Golden dipwads bring a ton wherever they go...

Worse than that.

She not only makes him pay, but makes him towel of the guy doing her.

This is a complete joke.

The ACC acting like a $10 *****.

This would’ve been a good opportunity to leverage Notre Dame into maybe being a lot more of a participative member, but no, we just hiked up our skirts and gave it away

there absolutely has to be more to this story. There is no way even the ACC conference leadership is this stupid.

We play in the easiest division (coastal) yet, year after year, we play down to our competition, losing games we shouldn’t. We have been cursed ever since moving to the ACC conference. What conference would you like to see Miami move to?

They'll find a way to cuck us with home and homes with Clemson and ND

For sure. Let’s beat

They should have leveraged more.

SEC first choice or BIG 12 ... seems like the only two conferences that would make sense.

The Big XII.

It would open up the Texas market for recruiting which is a state we need to recruit in for QB's & CB's every year.

It would probably hurt us for Basketball, but for Football would be the perfect move, because outside of Oklahoma for a few kids here & there no Big XII schools really ever recruit Florida. We would also make way more money in conference TV revenue, right now the ACC is 2nd to last among the P5's behind the SEC, B1G & Big XII.

The SEC would never allow us in their conference, too many schools recruit South FL heavy & would not want to share the pot of Gold of their TV revenue which would ultimately make us stronger in recruiting, plus UF, Bama, Auburn & UGA would never vote to allow us in.

I think the Big XII is the perfect fit for us, all we'd have to contend with really is Texas & Oklahoma.

Big 12 is a no-brainer. The schools are in football territory but most aren't very good. Playing Oklahoma and F$U yearly is major national viewing.

Agreed.

Here’s how they should do it this year:

10 conference games, plus 1 OOC game

No divisions.

So you have an 11 game regular season, with 1 bye week.

No divisions, top 4 in the conference make the “playoffs”

Game 12 would be 1 vs 4, 2 vs 3 at the site of the higher seed.

Game 13 is ACC championship in Charlotte as usual.

Perfection.
That makes too much sense

We don’t know the details. ND May have agreed to fully join when its NBC deal ends..........the home and home stuff would produce a very unfair strength of schedule. You could see Wake roll GT, NCS, and Duke and finish top 4.........

Playing Notre Dame gets us lots of exposure and TV money. It’s more like a pretty girl who let‘s us take her out. We don’t get to touch her, but all of our friends see us with her and we get paid very well for it. If we are too stupid to take the deal, everybody else will be willing to take it.

If they go with the home and home, 10 game model with geography being an important factor we will almost certainly get FSU, Clemson and GT twice. Then we'll get 2 of UNC, NCSU, Duke, Wake or maybe VT. Possible we get ND for the national TV draw and since they are such an outlier geographically they don't have anyone close except Louisville.

The 4 NC schools will play a double round robin which will be an advantage for UNC since NCSU and Duke are weak and Wake may be down a bit after losing Newman

Divisions truly are dumb as ****.

When college football inevitably moves to an 8-team playoff that rewards automatic bids to each Power 5 champion, divisions better be gone. If not, you run the risk of a 3 or 4 loss division champion playing the game of their life in a conference championship matchup and somehow making it into the playoff.

divisions are needed unless you play every team in your conference. Say you end up with a tie for second place between Miami and Louisville but there’s no head to head matchup to sort it out. That’s lame. Divisions give you a head to head shot against your side of the conference to make it in

You're a NYC minute late on this one, Cane dude. I've been touting this warped-eyed meandering notion for five years strong and was thrown NEGATIVE vibes my way for thinking outside the Orange and Green box ( The RIGHT-WING Cane ego's in this particular forum. As well as other Cane blogs. duh. ) Yes, I can actually have a notion from time to time. Albeit a Blue Moon notion and what not. huh?

From a LOGISTICAL standpoint it would be perfect for Miami athletics, i.e., AIR MILES from Miami X to other Big 12 towns and small cities, for one example. huh? And dig this too. The Big 12 is a STRONG BASEBALL conference too. Which would be ideal for Miami baseball. Then throw in the FACT that the Big 12, arguably speaking, has a STRONGER football tv package than Miami, and the ACC!!

Crap, even a road game to SMALL TOWN Ames, Iowa isn't that much of a travel problem for Miami. Because Des Moines is only a thirty-five miles, or so, drive up the highway from Des Moines X airport. Matter of fact, it's an EASIER road trip than traveling to rustic, redneckville Blacksburg, Va. huh?

Nevertheless, this dream scenario would NEVER materialize and all that. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Never say never.

What leverage does Notre Dame have? They need teams to play more than the ACC needs them. Force them to the treaty table or let them lose out on money and scheduling Div III schools.
