I think they would put Clemson with the Carolina schools because they're a bus ride away from all four of them.

Pod 1 - UNC, NC State, Duke, Wake and Clemson
Pod 2 - BC, Pitt, Cuse, Louisville and ND
Pod 3 - Miami, FSU, GT, VT, UVA

You keep all the ACC rivalries this way, as well as ND-BC and ND-Pitt.

So we don't play in South Carolina but we play two schools in Virginia?
 
With the circumstances I don’t mind ND being able to play in the ship. If they are playing a full ACC slate then who gives a ****. It’s more exposure for the ACC and a true competition. Beat their *** and we won’t have to worry about them in the ship. May the best team win.
 
Notre Dame should not be allowed to parlay its relationship with NBC Sports into a stiff arm of the Tobacco Road guys who run the ACC. If we’re going to move away from divisions and into a Premier League Table, then it is ND’s long term interest to get into our conference from a financial point of view.

They’re also likely to contend for the ACCCG and be in the playoff hunt every year, especially as we expand to 8 teams.

There’s no reason for this conference to be sucking ND’s Johnson. It’s ridiculous. I can’t understand why Clemson, Miami and Free Shoes aren’t putting their feet down about this.

A while ago, I was thinking the same thing. ACC shoulda ‘forced’ ND to full join or kicks rocks. But I don’t sit in those types of meetings for money like those other people do.
 
Will have answer by end of the first week of August based on what the Clemson AD is saying. I’m suspecting a delayed start with mid September for game 1. No clue who our opponent would be but we play 10 games if I had to guess

Just talked to my friend who’s brother works in the SEC offices (I know I know) they are telling people 8 game conf schedule only for SEC.
 
Outside of the North Carolina schools, what difference is geographic going to matter. Is a 3 hour flight going to make a difference than a 2 hour flight? How about a 1 hour flight vs a 4 hour bus ride?

Flying to the Carolinas vs flying to Pittsburgh (they both play in Miami this year) isn't going to make a **** bit of difference with Covid-19 or financially.

The ACC just trying to make it easier for the Carolina schools. The games should be set up for competive balance if they're going to change the league structure for 2020. After all, that was the intention when they put Miami in the Coastal.

Delay is better than cancellation. Once they announce a schedule I don’t think they’ll back away from it so I’ll be patient and hope for the best.
