Looks like this portal opening might be an issue for Ole Miss

I just want them to be as distracted as possible. Sounds like Kiffin being Kiffin trying to get the attention on his situation being mishandled by Ole Miss because he wanted to coach this team all of the way through the CFP is actually motivating these kids to achieve to stick to Lane one last time. This story can grow and create a bigger distraction for the team as the week wears on. But this is probably nothing more than just clickbait. We’ve got to bring our A game on Thursday as that offense was productive last night and the defense looked pretty good too.

How much actual coaching did they do, other than Weiss calling plays? Chambliss runs that offense on t he field.

It's going to be like playing Cam Ward next week. Who knows what the play call actually is.

They will only practice sat, sun, Monday, maybe a Tuesday walk through before flying out. Wednesday walk through. That’s it. Then it’s game day.

Half the staff works for lane and lsu. Partied like a champion last night. Will get so much love when they get back to Oxford. Can they get back up and play another game like that back to back after finally getting past Kirby.

I saw where the media said Golding out coached smart and I disagre.

Smart knew his team was as good and made a poor decision on the 4th down in his territory but the gal punt and other things were smart by smart. Ole Miss was just a better team basically playing a home game.

Ole Miss looked confused at times. Terrible clock management to close the half and didn’t even know the rules on the safety kickoff and let Georgia recover. Miami has to have the advantage of having a full staff all dedicated to one goal.

I don’t think Kirby was outcoached either. I think his team just lost the most crucial and important plays. Like they had Chambliss dead to rites a few times in the fourth and he just made unbelievable plays.

If anything, I’d put a lot of the blame on UGA’s offensive staff. They really had no cohesive plan or vision for how to operate. They’d hammer home huge runs, then try going east to west after they’d gash them up the gut.

If I’m Dawson, I’d be telling Fletcher to expect 20 carries and Brown to expect 15. Make them withstand 60 minutes of body blows.

Yeah they looked like they were gonna get blown out at times. Defense didn’t look overwhelming and made some coaching mistakes. Should be an interesting week of practice for them
 
Was reading around the Ol Miss 247 board. Seems like the only staff member moving on to LSU that went back to Mississippi last night was Weiss. The others went back to Louisisanna.

That has to be a factor in the game next week. Get a lid on Chambliss and stop the rb (who has a bum shoulder, btw)

It’s a distraction for sure. But honestly they can be full forced and fully coached and as long as we play our game and don’t turn the ball over we will be fine. I have complete trust in this team.

Selfishly, I feel this way.

As a human, I feel for those players they've got. They were dealt a rare and bad hand, but so far have played through it.

Having said all of that, it's time to crush those dreams and let the coaches run to their next employer.

Changes should be made, the coaching changes and portal stuff in particular should be made different, wait until season's end, etc. System needs to be reworked, at least portal and recruiting dates as the season continues to get later and later in the year.

Any of our players thinking or entering the portal would get about 15 seconds of my time. I'd literally tell them we're about winning our next game and the one beyond that. If you think you're important enough to have this talk now, you're mistaken, our focus is elsewhere and good luck as there's the door.

Chambliss was running for his life several times last night. Made some crazy throws but that well can dry up quickly with our pass rush. We’ve also been very good against the run.
 
Ole Miss has several players that are close and loyal to Kiffin, but it would be hard for me to see them entering the portal and leaving before the CFP comes to an end. Lacy is one of them.
