Looks like close to full house cleaning coming..

It's that end-of-the-year Goodwill bags time. Clean the closet out.

Negative on the D Line coach. From what I can see the technique development isn’t what it was. But I’m thinking of the DTs specifically
That'd be a great point if the talent was the same as it was
Outside of Nesta I don't think we have dogs on the interior and honestly I think he's undersized

The culture can be fixed in the same way the military can take anybody (loser, drug addict, lost, lonely, young, naive, arrogant, whoever) and turn them into obedient, purposeful warriors. It can be done with the right leadership. Is Manny the right leader? We'll see.
He's not. No real leader would allow so many quitters to come back.

Which was wanted, and needed. But remember, that was Coker's last move too before that ship sank completely. The difference is Manny has more talent to work with than that 2006 team, which besides Calais and a few others was as bereft as any non probation Canes team I remember. Coker whiffed completely on the OC hire, and to make matters worse brought in Todd Berry to run Army's read option offense with Kyle and Kirby. Ugh... So I'm happy we're addressing the assistants but I'm not expecting miracles. The culture is broken. I don't know how or if it gets fixed. I don't think Manny knows either. But he has to try.
That ‘06 team had a lot more talent than the ‘19 team, at least on D.

- DBs included Kenny Phillips and B. Meriweather - both first round picks.
- LBs included Beason (first rounder, nfl all pro), T. Gooden (4th round pick, long career), Sharpton (4th rounder), McCarthy (4th round), S. Adkins....
- DL included Campbell (borderline HOF), B. Atkins and K. Brown (both 4th rounders), Pata (RIP).

Offense was a mess in ‘06 ... and still is. OL on that ‘06 team was mediocre but significantly better than where it stands today. QB is bad on both squads. Olsen at TE was above what we have today. Peattie at kicker was much better than what we have today. WR on the ‘06 team had more talent, just never panned out. Shields (ends up at CB), Leggett, Moore, Jenkins, Hill were all good to very good prospects. If folks think WR is better on the ‘19 team, it’s because we’re still hopeful and haven’t seen outcomes yet. Only area ‘19 has a talent advantage, imo, is RB. But the ‘06 team had as much or more star power in its RB room, they didn’t turn out as expected.

Biggest comment I’d make is the ‘06 team shows you the full woatness of Coker’s eval skills on offense, in particular. WR and RB were littered with high recruits who were poorly evaluated.

God you are a sucker. Falling right into the bull**** culture nonsense that curiously only showed up once Manny started showing his ***.

When you don’t know what you’re doing and don’t know how to solve problems, it’s good to have a vague concept like “culture” as a whipping boy.

Mammy is a modern day idiot.

Need to send some players packing too.those who don't have their hearts in it.

AGREED....

They need to find the cancers on this team --- they types that act like JW and JT--- and tell them "get your *** to the portal assholle... we don't want you"

Manny needs to drop the hammer on the whiny little bytches on this team and let the team know he will not tolerate princess players.

That 2006 team was all Coker's kids. He wasn't housecleaning someone else's mess, **** he wasn't even housecleaning his own mess. He was just buying his sorry *** another year of getting paid for doing absolutely nothing but perpetuating the spiralling disaster that he initiated at Miami and which continues apace to this day.

This is more important than most are willing to admit. I'm for a rough year next year if we can at least clean the dudes off the roster that have quit time after time.
I agree we will never be good until the prima donnas are gone.butch did it that's why when it all came together they were considered the best.took him some time but he got it done.
